Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

We are a MSP and we utilize the product to monitor and alert us for both our customers as well as our internal network devices and servers. The application is integrated with our ticketing system and allows us to quickly respond to alerts. It also allows for two way communication between our ticketing system and Logic Monitor.

  • Integrates with multiple platforms.
  • Allows you to monitor multiple devices in a single view to give you a better idea of overall application performance.
  • Needs a better integration with Connectwise CMDB.
  • Would love to see a focus on MSP centric applications such as IT Glue and BrightGauge.
  • Pricing is a little hard to swallow.
  • Allows us to focus on only real problems as false alerts are cleared and subsequent tickets are closed as well.
  • Allows us to monitor Meraki better than Meraki can do.
  • Reduced overall time researching and reviewing false alerts.
We currently use both Passler PRTG and Logic Monitor, we were looking for something to replace PRTG with and thought that we found the correct tool in Auvik. We quickly realized that Auvik was very easy to stand up, but once up it would take an army of engineers to configure all the MIB's and OID's required to make it useful.
We have opened only a few support cases, but every support case we've opened has been resolved within a matter of minutes. They have 24/7 support and a chat feature that allows you to interact with support engineers that really know the product inside and out. Support tis one of the best things LogicMonitor has going.
We are an MSP that has a significant private cloud, we utilize Logic Monitor to monitor both our internal infrastructure as well as our customers network, server, virtual and storage environments. We monitor over two hundred fifty devices with customers all over North America.
We utilized their contract services to do the initial implementation, they stood everything up and trained us on how to use the platform. the process was fairly easy and they offer training and certification plans to ensure that you are successful. It's not as easy to setup as an Auvik is but with Logic Monitor the juice is worth the squeeze!
We are in the process of retiring PRTG but due to the cost of LogicMonitor we are doing it in a phased approach. Once fully migrated to Logic Monitor we will see significant returns on investment. Plus it allows us to utilize dashboards to see all or just a single customer environment in a single pane of glass.
If you are using Auvik today you should switch to LogicMonitor, the pricing is about the same - actually cheaper if you are using Netflow from Auvik, and Logic Monitor provides so much more. If you don't need two-way communication with your ticketing system another solution may fit your needs.
