Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

Mailchimp allows us to proactively reach out to customers about new product updates, make appointment requests, and stay in touch with our customers. It is being used in our department and helps us to reach out to customers at once, and provides analytics as to which customers engage with specific campaigns.
  • Provides analytics
  • Email campaign design
  • Mass outreach
  • It would be nice to unsubscribe someone to all future campaigns. With the current setup, emails need to be unsubscribed to each new list.
  • Periodic updates to things like audiences and lists have seemed to create unnecessary confusion.
  • There is a chat function for support only, although that has sufficed.
  • The positive has been that it has been a time saver, in that we have been able to reach out to many customers at once.
  • Positive is that it has brought us some new customers, as many have engaged with us about the campaigns and set up meetings.
  • Positive is the analytics tell us which campaigns and products are most effective based on the number of opens and clicks.
I have used Constant Contact which was good and the emails that were sent out were about the same quality, but Mailchimp seems a little more user-friendly on the creator side. The campaigns and templates are easy to create and the site is clean and user-friendly.
I like that email templates can be saved and used again. It's easy to copy a campaign and use it for a different list. I also like that the folks on Mailchimp's chat can quickly design or change a campaign for you. It's also easy to add new lists and edit lists and edit individual campaigns. It's also quick and easy to determine the open and click rates for each campaign.
We haven't used all the capabilities that Mailchimp offers. We have primarily used it as a place to reach out to customers about new products, and determine which products have received the most attention in terms of open and click rates.
I have had plenty of success with Mailchimp in terms of creating campaigns and generating interest from the campaigns. I have learned to copy the campaigns over so as to not re-create my efforts. I have also learned to keep the campaigns short, break them up with images, content blocks, and vary the size of the fonts in certain cases. I've learned to send separate campaigns to the people who have clicked on certain links in the campaigns or opened them multiple times to create unique offers for them. I have also learned to use the chat function frequently at the beginning as they are very helpful.

Do you think Mailchimp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Mailchimp's feature set?

Yes

Did Mailchimp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Mailchimp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Mailchimp again?

Yes

Mailchimp is great for sending out updates to products or sending out information about new products because campaigns can be sent quickly to a large group of people. It is not great for sending out personalized messages, because most receivers of an email can tell that it came from Mailchimp and did not originate specifically for that user.
