Overall Satisfaction with Outreach
Outreach is the cornerstone system that enables us to deploy sales messaging to our team of 60+ reps in a way that enables each rep to customize their message while enabling the long term assessment of messaging success.
Pros
- Outreach will allow you to deploy and manage sales messaging.
- Outreach enables sales and marketing leaders to understand the effectiveness of their messaging in the context of persona and company segment.
- Outreach provides a smooth and enjoyable work surface for reps - a workflow that far exceeds the experience provided my CRM providers like Salesforce.
Cons
- I would like to see the reporting features of Outreach to be significantly improved. While a lot of data is available, the current reporting feature set does not support the types of pivots we currently find value in.
- The Outreach API and trigger system is very robust and highly configurable. What I'd like to see is more "master-class" training material on the subject. This could allow mid-level users the ability to level-up their skills quicker.
While Outreach reporting is OK, I personally have all reporting metrics piped over to Salesforce. We will soon be piping over all data to a data warehouse for display via Looker and thus giving us the ability to join our Outreach data with other datasets within our sales activities...mmmm disparate data joins. :)
- Shorter BDR ramp times which is leading to increased BDR productivity during high growth phases.
- Smoother and simplified BDR workflows are leading to increased training on selling and less time spent on mechanics.
- It's much easier to deploy and test messaging across a variety of segments and persona. This is leading to increased effort into testing and messaging since the supporting mechanics of deployment and measurement are simplified.
The Outreach support team is absolutely amazing. I am hell-bent on driving value from the vendors we work with so I'm what you'd call a "needy customer". I continually feel well-served and in a true partnership with my CSM rep. My CSM team is with me even as I push the boundaries of what's been done before.
I can't fully compare Tout to Outreach any longer since I haven't used Tout for about 2 year. I also have a hard time believing Tout is going to be able to execute as well as the Outreach team - they really lean forward and push product development. I just don't see Marketo being so effective. Do remember I'm a complete fan boy so I'm quite bias since I'm so taken care of.
