Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server
Parallels Remote Application Server was being used to stream our MRP application to clients in and out of the facilities.
- Easy to manage
- Straightforward publishing of applications
- SSO
- Awful at handling peripherals like printing
- Terrible error tracking
- Support is sub-par
- We abandoned the software. It did not meet our needs.
Selected parallels for ease of use and deployment. Ended up abandoning the software after multiple attempts with support to get it to work properly.
Parallels Remote Application Server is very easy to deploy and manage--much easier than other similar solutions we evaluated. It takes only moments to publish an app and make it available to users.
Can't comment. Only used the RAS application.
As a Hyper-V user, this is very attractive and absolutely necessary. Especially as technology is moving more towards virtualized environments/cloud.
Anyone who deploys an internet-facing solution without SSL or strict authentication policies deserves to be breached. Parallels does handle SSL, but it is near impossible to implement and not the least bit flexible for changing certificates, etc.
