Overall Satisfaction with Parallels Remote Application Server

We are using it for a few remote employees to enter orders within our system. It's used by about 7-10 people at a maximum, and it alleviates the need for a full-blown terminal solution
  • Simple
  • Non-intrusive
  • It just works
  • Version incompatibility with server and client has caused issues in the past
  • Renewal process is a pain
  • Answers support gives are sometimes inconsistent between agents. Helpdesk agents are also difficult to understand at times.
  • We don't have to dedicate huge amount of resources for a simple business application.
Parallels was selected for me before I started, and I was told not to change it because many of our remote agents are aging and wouldn't take too kindly to change.
We work with an older generation and the ease of use has alleviated the need for me to be constantly on the phone telling them what to click.
Not really important.
The fact that it integrates with LDAP is a standard thing. We currently do not utilize TFA
Inconsistent support on various issues.

Would you buy Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) again?

Yes

Small and medium business applications are the perfect use case scenario for Parallels Remote Application Server, as it's an easy option for small IT teams or one-person shows. Larger businesses I can see not utilizing the application very much as most would lean toward doing a full-blown terminal server/VDI.
