Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
Paycom was purchased to transition the payroll process at our company from a manual system that utilized Excel and a [third-party] payroll vendor. The goal was to give associates access to their information, have less data entry, time and attendance tracking, and a simpler process for payroll. I was not a part of the initial implementation but [was] used as an admin when I came on board with the company.
- Processing payroll is a simple process[.]
- Employees easily access the app[.]
- Employees can update their own information in the app[.]
- Customer service [in my experience] is lacking in timing and efficiency[.]
- Tax reporting - we had many issues that took the better part of a year to get resolved[.]
- Vacation accruals were not accurate[.]
- Incurred over $8,000 in additional fees because of a missing account number, it was corrected but took almost three months to do so[.]
- We paid to have Paycom sign up for our tax accounts only to find out they did not and we’re reporting under a wrong state ID.
- Paycom’s reporting made it easy to pull employee data[.]
Paycom is easier to use than ADP. However[,] is pricier. Paycom’s strength and weakness [are] that it is an all in one platform, meaning it’s great [if] you are only using Paycom products but it is difficult to have any other programs integrate with it. Paycom was originally selected for the ease of usability.
