Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
We use Paycom for tracking employee demographics, benefits, payroll, and other documentation. It has been a wonderful enhancement to our business processes. The reporting features are phenomenal. The timecard recordkeeping is easy to navigate and our payroll processing time has been radically reduced. Paycom is a friendly and efficient management tool that we use daily.
Pros
- Paycom will find a solution. Our attendance tracking isn't simple, but Paycom found a way to integrate our unique process into their design.
- Government and compliance tracking is integrated with the entire system. You can track all ACA, FMLA, Workplace Injuries, COBRA, Unemployment, Training, and more in the same place that you track payroll and benefits. The entire system flows together seamlessly. We were able to combine 3 other programs into one when we switched to Paycom.
- Employees appreciate the Paycom app. They can complete onboarding, trainings, benefit enrollment, check PTO balances, request PTO, view their timecards and pay history all in one place. They especially enjoy the ability to clock in/out on their mobile devices.
Cons
- It would be nice to be able to enter an employee's past pay history (prior to Paycom) for easier recordkeeping.
- Our employees are more confident with our payroll process due to Paycom's ability to allow them to see their timesheets, payroll information, W-2s, benefits, deductions and other information all in one secure place.
- Paycom's reporting features are top notch. You can choose from a multitude of various "done for you" reports, customize each of them, or build your very own to get exactly what you want. This is extremely helpful for month-end and year-end reporting, government report requirements, benefit audits, and even census reporting to obtain quotes from benefit providers. Paycom reporting has saved me hours and hours of work, in a simple click.
- Tracking time-off, employee documents, benefit changes, 401k eligibility, contribution history, performance history, as well as FMLA and other leaves of absence have never been easier. You can integrate several different programs into one user-friendly portal with Paycom.
- The Paycom app allows employees to clock in and out, which reduces congestion at the time-clock before and after each shift.
Implementation with Paycom was so much easier than I anticipated. Most of the information was uploaded via Excel spreadsheets that I either downloaded from our previous payroll provider or that I put together myself. I'm grateful for the expertise of my designated implementation team and the amount of time they devoted to the smooth transition. Their guidance was much appreciated. The customer service was outstanding after we went live and I still had questions. Our designated specialist still checks in every couple of months to see if we need anything or have any issues, and we have been with Paycom since 2019.
Paycom is very user-friendly. Managers can review and approve employee timecards easily. The entire HRIS system allows information to flow together seamlessly. Your general ledger is tailored to your payroll and reporting needs. You no longer need multiple systems, you can do everything you need to do (employee related) in one solid system. Paycom is an exceptional and extremely vital tool for our company. I will recommend Paycom to every employer I work with.
