Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for payroll, recruiting and onboarding, HR record keeping, training, and benefits management. It's really our one-stop shop for all of our employees' HR needs. From an administrative point of view, it saves a ton of time by tracking PTO, employee pay, performance and experience, and compliance.
Pros
- One stop shop- partner integrations mean less logins for everyone.
- Payroll- easy to enter and audit; employee dashboard gives clear, easy-to-understand info for them.
- Managing time off requests and PTO balances is a breeze; employees and managers no longer have to try to calculate future balances.
- Mobile app is fantastic.
Cons
- Showing approved PTO on the company calendar or homepage so everyone can see who is out on a given day.
- More admin functionality on mobile app would be great.
- A tax setup wizard similar to the one in onboarding for employees to use when they want to update.
- The service can feel disjointed; I miss having a dedicated service rep to reach out to directly.
- The biggest is the amount of time it saves on both the admin and employee side.
- The reporting is robust, and with the ability to export to Excel, it's easier to combine with other data we are tracking.
- It's cost-effective; we are getting more than we did from our last system for basically the same price.
Paylocity has drastically cut the time spent on the recruiting process. The applicant tracking and ability to communicate with hiring managers in the system save everyone time. Payroll takes about half as long as it used to with our old system, and it integrates with our ERP system, so the finance department gets information faster than before. The amount of time it has saved me as an HR department has allowed me to hold off on hiring part-time admin help.
The employees have been having a great time with the community board, and it's a fantastic place for me to post company-wide announcements. The visibility of employee milestones like birthdays and work anniversaries means more engagement from employees to one another rather than from management. I utilize surveys a lot, and moving them into velocity from email has upped participation.
Paylocity is the best system I have worked on. Both from an admin and employee side, it is the easiest to navigate, most robust in terms of what it offers, and hands down has the best reporting. We had a lot of problems with a previous platform and tax pay, which ultimately led to us moving, and the Paylocity tax system has been much more thorough.
