Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We utilize multiple modules from Paylocity, from the basic HR functions to payroll, timekeeping, paid time off, expenses, performance and goal setting, internal intranet functions, Onboarding, and we connect to a partner for benefits enrollment via Single Sign-on integration.

Pros

  • Timekeeping, and mobile functionality with job costing are easy for employees to use
  • Payroll functionality is easy to set-up and manage
  • Setting KPI's, and building performance forms for mid-years and annual appraisals is also easy to set-up and administer

Cons

  • The performance module is easy to use, but it would be nice if there were more robust views including ability for 2nd level managers to review/approve before they go to employees
  • The compensation module is a bit tricky and we have not had success utilizing this
  • more robust content offering in the LMS
  • reduced time managing multiple companies and payroll cycles
  • automated and mobile timekeeping that allow us to better track employees, ensure appropriate punching in and out, and safety controls tracking where employees are located
This has helped us simplify our processes, and manage functions with less HR administrative tasks freeing up our team for more time working directly with employees
We really have not done a full launch, but we do see employees using these for high fives or birthday and anniversary celebrations on their own, or recognizing peers
Paylocity has been a good fit with a wide offering that has fit our growing organization well. It is well integrated, and we are able to integrate expenses, and our benefits admin system pretty seemlessly as well as it being easy to push candidates from recruiting to onboarding to the typical employee lifecycle transactions. We liked this functionality over some of the others, and it was easier to implement than a UKG or Paycom and more affordable
