Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Having come from what I like to refer to as the "old school" way, Procore was initially a bit of a surprise when I started working for my current employer. The app is extremely intuitive and easy to find your way around. Didn't take long before I was finding lots of ways the software saved time. No more keeping track of paper daily logs or chasing superintendents to get them turned in or sent in. Photos are all easily organized and it makes life so much easier when you need to find that picture from 6 months prior. Tasks are easily tracked and being able to automatically remind with emails is wonderful, it helps force the tasks to get completed. Between build-outs and ground-up projects, Procore is right there with everything you need.
  • Photo organization and search capabilities.
  • Daily reports that are searchable by a number of options; sub/trade/date; very easy to find what you need.
  • Punch/Completion lists. These are so much easier to keep track of items and remind subs on a regular basis of tasks outstanding.
  • Project specific financials
  • Ability to document/record email correspondence with project specific email addresses
  • Scheduling could be a bit better.
  • More integration with MS products.
  • Need an area for internal/company-only notes/discussions that are not available to the client.
  • Efficiency in daily tasks.
  • Efficiency in getting plan changes out to the field and in subs hands as soon as the changes happen.
  • Keeping track of project items/emails/milestones in one centralized location.
I have not integrated any third-party items with Procore for my use. We do not use any of the third party integrated outside account software or apps. While we do use drones, we do not use any of the software that is integrated to work with procore, so it's all typically shared within the office.
So much easier to put in the info instead of manual writing out on a notebook or sheet of paper. What used to take 10 to 15 minutes in the field as a super, can now be accomplished in under 5 minutes and it's so much easier to go in and add information after the fact in a way that is organized and easily searchable. Easier to keep track of things since you aren't worried about keeping up with papers from daily logs. It also makes it a whole lot easier for the office to keep their finger on things and know whats going on without having to bother the superintendent and the info can be accessed whenever its convenient for them.
Not applicable. While some interviewees have experience using the software, it has not ever been a make or break deal for any of our employees.
Procore is my first step in using digitized construction management tools and software. Not sure anyone else offers what Procore does. I have used a recent competitor to the space, Buildertrend. While there are things I like about the software, it really showed me why Procore is the top CM software out there for successful organizations.

Do you think Procore delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Procore's feature set?

Yes

Did Procore live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Procore go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Procore again?

Yes

For your average commercial contractor with a steady line of projects, this is a blessing in disguise. From small build-outs to multi-million dollar ground-up builds, Procore keeps everything organized and familiar. Also perfect for the field and office teams when projects are out of town or out of state. I cringe at the thought of having to find a scanner or fax machine to use while on the road to send in weekly reports on a monthly basis. With procore, as soon as you complete the log, it's visible to all parties with access. So much faster and makes it easier for everyone to stay in the loop a lot closer to real time vs a few days later. That can often make all the difference in a situation.

Using Procore

12 - Office management, to field supervision, to skilled labor foremen. Everyone within our organization uses the program and keeping track of day to day tasks and documenting processes as they happen.
1 - All that is needed is an understanding of the app and time/experience using it. Our Sr. PM is typically the one that will handle any issues for management or field staff when they do arise.
  • Daily reports
  • Daily photos
  • Weather delay tracking
  • Important daily happenings in the field
  • Any type of injury or safety issues
  • Quick photo sharing with commenting
  • Ability to send sketches or in-house drawings on the fly to explain things
  • Email documentation for submittals, RFI's etc.
  • Job time tracking
  • Video/screen sharing would be cool
As a PM and Estimator, i would say yes. However I do not get to make those final decisions

Evaluating Procore and Competitors

  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
The usability. It had to be something that everyone could immerse themselves in and catch on quick. Procore is the way to go. The other software programs that I have tried don't shine a candle on what you can do with procore on your phone in the field or at home on a PC.
Look more at the overall initially and what is being bundled/included within your package. They are great about working with existing accounts as new features and products are rolled out as well.

Procore Support

It's a simple answer. Because their CSR team is on top of their game! There is no waiting for hours or days, no wondering if they got your email or not. They have a great system together over there and their team is all oriented to the same end goal.

Quick Initial Response
None
The support team at Procore is second to none! I've had support on live chat well after normal business hours and they were nothing bt friendly, helpful and you could tell that they wanted to see the problem resolve itself as well. Even when I was ready to throw the towel in, they persisted and we were able to resolve my issue. Solid team with strong CSR skill sets.
Middle of the week, around 7pm local time. I had a CSR agent live chatting with me for around an hour to try and get a resolution to a problem I was having. Even when I was ready to just accept that it couldn't work the way I wanted, she persisted and we ended up coming to a resolution that got me what I needed. Hard to argue with team members like that!

Using Procore

Because after using other competitors, there is no comparison. The app and team are the best out there!

Yes - I cut my teeth learning on the mobile app. If you have a smart phone and can use an app, you can figure out procore in no time. We have superintendents longer than I have been alive that once they gave it a shot and learned how to use it, love it! My one gripe is the lack of consistency with interfaces/layouts between platforms. Windows/Android/Apple. They are all different! Which can make for an interesting time trying to explain to someone where to find something if you are not on the exact same OS.
