Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our CRM for accounting and finance purposes. Only the finance team uses it. It integrates well with most of our tools such as Salesforce, Bill.com and Expensify. Automation in these areas is something Intacct really helps with. We find the most value here.

It has a good amount of customization and reports that we need but the Contract module is one area we would like to see an improvement on. It does have its bugs and glitches that we find but in most cases we were able to figure out. However, when it gets more complex we would have to submit a ticket to the support team which we had mixed experiences with.

Overall, Intacct provides us the necessary automation but is very complex and sensitive when it comes the settings.

We definitely benefited from the automation and integration tools Sage Intacct has. This is probably the biggest pro for me here personally as our systems sync'd information over perfectly. This avoided duplication of work and time was saved. Almost every tool I looked at, minus our payroll tool Zenefits, has a Sage Intacct integration. If you are looking to integrate Bill.com, Salesforce, and Expensify, Sage Intacct definitely integrates well with them.
The Contract Revenue Management is the tool that we only use based on the question asked so I will only review that part. From my experience Sage Intacct is very limited to what it can do when it comes to the Contract module. Depending on the contract and revenue recognition method your company uses, Sage Intacct may not be able to accommodate it. I have spoken with the Sage Intacct Professional team and while they were super friendly and helpful, they noted they could not accommodate one of our products that we sell so we had to steer a different direction.
Sage Intacct is a very sensitive system and configuring the system in my opinion was very difficult.

Some systems integrate well with a flick of a switch and have good help center articles. However when things don't work and you have to reach out to the support team, the support team to me has been hit or miss. While they are helpful, they may not understand the problem at hand and resolution time takes quite awhile.

I wasn't involved in the implementation or purchase of Sage Intacct. I started at Clever and it was already implemented.
Factoring in price and the scale of Clever, I would say Sage Intacct is a good tool for us as it intergrates well with all our tools. I would recommend Sage Intacct to whose are tech savvy and have good understanding of how to dig into settings.

Intacct is a very complex tool and does take a lot of time to get a grasp of. When I first started at Clever, I attended a three day training orientation around the system and that was very helpful which I recommend to all new users. After using the system, I do notice we are somewhat limited due to the way we recognize revenue, so I highly suggest you sit down with a professional service team and go over their contract module/revenue tools.
