Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic

We are using Science Logic to monitor a particular customer network and VoIP environment that has a global presence across multiple sites (400).
  • Out of the box alerting and monitoring metrics.
  • Ease of adding and deleting new devices to be monitored.
  • Event handling and management.
  • Topology mapping is not consistent.
  • Automation policies have issues to run.
  • Reporting is not easy.
  • Dashboards are complex and need customization for basic requirements.
  • It has had good feedback from customer and users.
  • We have been able to successfully replace other monitoring products and mirror its capabilities and achieve more in ScienceLogic.
  • There have been continuous software based issues where patches are being released but no solution is provided to problems raised.
Yes - SolarWinds
We have good visibility across the infrastructure with the dashboards and alert console.
We have been adding multiple products for monitoring including UPS, firewalls, proxy servers, Linux boxes, etc.
Automation, though available, has not been useful due to software bugs.
  • Capture WAN uptime using IT services.
  • Create a nested dashboard for ease of understanding.
  • Create automated tickets and manual co-relation to assist in event management.
ScienceLogic is better than most of the tools but the event co-relation in CA Spectrum is still a lot better and can be replicated.
Cisco Network environment had good out of the box monitoring features. Event co-relation needs to be improved.

Customer experience and product reputation. Cisco MSP uses ScienceLogic and thus provided a major positive impact during customer POC.
