ScienceLogic, the future.
Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1
We are using it across the whole organization. It provides a full-stack monitoring solution.
Pros
- Full stack visibility allowing customers to see the error at the appropriate level of the stack.
- They take an agnostic approach. ScienceLogic does not care what it monitors. It can pull information from public cloud to also the private cloud.
- Uses PowerPacks which are the integrations available which allow customers to monitor the infrastructure across the board. The list of integrations is an extensive one, which how the market is moving, integrations across the board are key.
Cons
- The UI needs to be updated. It currently does not use HTML5 which the market is being pushed that way. Also, it is a busy UI, lots of information to have to learn. That being said, the new UI is in beta and it's an improvement.
Yes it has allowing us to see across the stack and not working on silos.
We are starting to leverage ScienceLogic as a MSP and provide the offerings of this tool to customers as a MSP.
The list of integrations is numerous especially with the known tools like to ServiceNow to provide latest information into SNOW..
- The list of integrations is so numerous that it makes ScienceLogic data even more meaningful, and the more data given to an AIOps tool, a smarter decision can be made for the resolution.
- Quicker resolution path to error. This is where the greatest ROI is typically seen. It gives the customer the ability to see where the error is happening at a high level, and then through a couple of clicks get to the device experiencing the issue. For example, App having an issue but as you click through it you notice that the NIC is having the issue.
- Dependencies on error. For example, you are investigating an App issue, but you are not too sure how much is dependent on that App or even that switch, ScienceLogic gives you a diagram of all the dependencies allowing the customer to make the correct decision.
