Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Splashtop so that IT can remote into the rest of the company's computers to fix issues, as well as to enable secure remote work from personal computers when needed by office personnel.

Pros and Cons

Pros

We appreciate the ease of use for non-technical users; they just install it and have easy access to their work computer from home with no client-side configuration needed.
We appreciate the features that allow us to lock the user's mouse, blackout their screen, etc.
It is also easy to install on our company machines, and boots up without issue every time it starts up.

Cons

Splashtop is slow to switch between screens if an accessed computer has multiple monitors.
I'd appreciate the ability to stream multiple monitors at once without the more expensive subscription.
On our IT computers, we get logged out far too frequently. I want an option to increase the timeout.

Return on Investment

It's saved our IT team hours of walking across the large building and gowning/degowning between the office and the sanitary production floor.
It allows our office employees to work from home if they're even slightly ill, which has the added benefit of preventing others in the office from getting sick.
It's also allowed our sales employees to access their local desktop files and email securely without requiring complex additional devices.
