Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
Teamviewer is used by our NOC and our IT department. The NOC uses it to remote into technician's computers in order to perform complex processes that technicians cannot complete on their own. The IT department uses it to remote into executive computers who are less capable with their computers to help fix the computers or provide software support.
- Teamviewer is easy to use. Even people who are not very computer literate can download Teamviewer and supply support their teamviewer access code with simple remote instructions.
- Teamviewer is reliable. In over two years, I have not had an instance of the program failing or not functioning correctly. As long as your teamviewer versions match connections are easy and reliable.
- Teamviewer is secure. With access codes and passwords, Teamviewer provides a gated opening into your computer and control of the computer always remains with the local user.
- Teamviewer requires identical versions to be on each computer. Backwards compatibility would be very nice.
- The newest version recently fixed an issue where sound did not work. So no complaints there anymore.
- Video quality drops when viewed through Teamviewer. Increasing the quality of the video would be appreciated.
- There are many functions I could not perform without Teamviewer. Attempting to walk computer illiterate persons through troubleshooting can be impossible or next to impossible. Teamviewer removes the headache altogether and allows to me to do the work with ease.
- There are many functions that would be much more difficult to perform without Teamviewer. Walking technicians through complex and precise procedures over the phone is painstaking and time consuming. Teamviewer saves me a lot of time and frustration.
- With remote access Teamviewer allows me to work on computers even when the user is not there removing schedule conflicts and saving everyone (especially the user) a lot of time.
Join.me and Webex allow for remote desktop sharing, but typically for meetings or instances. They do not offer the constant connection that teamviewer does. The user must be on the computer and type in the code provided by the remote user. The unlimited personal trial nature of TeamViewer is also extremely nice. It is a fully functional copy of the software for personal use. I was able to get completely comfortable with TeamViewer before selecting it.
