Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

The implementation of TeamViewer is easy enough however due to the overly expensive licensing required to gain SSO that enables you to secure the product with an IDP such as Okta means you're soon search for an alternative product.
We now primarily use it when other vendors require us to for support reasons. We don't actively use this on a daily basis.

We prefer to use other products due to security concerns. It has become very hard to secure access to TeamViewer unless you pay for the most expensive enterprise license.
  • Remote support toolset is fully featured
  • Consistent, easy and familiar user interface
  • Performance is good
  • Pricing and licensing
  • SSO missing on basic plans
  • Security, loved by threat actors
  • Remote support tools are obviously beneficial as the avoid having to travel onsite.
  • Concerns due to lack of security controls
  • Frequently exploited by threat actors

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

No

TeamViewer is easy to deploy.

The sales process is frustrating I suppose due to the convoluted and expensive licensing process. Why does SSO have to cost so much!

Find an alternative product that doesnt charge a premium for SSO.
Whilst Teamviewer does tick all the security boxes these are "advanced" security features are overpriced. SSO lacking in lower cost plans. Charging to secure your product seams unfair when its inherently insecure in most most basic and least expensive guise. Our organization has found an alternative product.
I would recommend an alternative product. TeamViewer has become too expensive and lacks SSO on lower cost plans. It is disappointing Teamviewer ended up going in this direction and I think it shows now with its usage dropping off. Especially since Teams and Zoom can offer much of its functionality. Alternatively RMM tools also offer this functionality with the addition of patching and device management.
