Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We are a small Software R&D company with employees based in many different states in the US and with a very lean HR Structure. We were looking for a partner that could help us with HR best practices, and also how we could offer the best possible benefits to our employees. And today I can affirm that TriNet is by far the best option we have found. Positive aspects: Excellent payroll platform for full-time and part-time employees [with] access to excellent health benefits. Similar or superior [options] to those offered by *very large* software companies. Excellent access to customer service for any topic related to payroll, benefits, etc. [It provides] seamless integration with [a] 401k benefits provider [that is] VERY Cost-efficient for the employer. Our employees absolutely love TriNet [for] the online/mobile experience as well as the benefits we can offer through TriNet.

  • Excellent experience for employees to elect their benefits, manage their 401k contributions, etc.
  • TriNet analytics could be simpler and more intuitive for non-HR people.
The overall experience with TriNet has been excellent. From boarding to the daily questions/concerns: Our onboarding was extremely efficient. We had a very small window to switch vendors and TriNet was able to accommodate everything within the period we had. TriNet team is always available to help our company with questions or issues related to Payroll, Health Benefits, Retirement Benefits (401k), etc. TriNet also has a dedicated channel for our employees that can have their questions/issues solved via chat, phone, or email.
Both the web app and the mobile app work great for employers and also for employees.

During the pandemic, we had some employees moving to different states. Their onboarding for the new state was extremely frictionless [and] we were able to offer them the best possible health benefits for their area.

Compared to Zenefits, I would never hire Zenefits again. Their customer support is nonexistent. I often felt that they really didn't care about my company. After migrating to TriNet, it was night and day. Employees are more satisfied with the online and mobile tools TriNet offers, the benefits are better, etc.
TriNet is clearly the best option today for companies that: Have a lean administration and HR structure, have less than 500 employees and would have a VERY HARD time negotiating benefits directly, [or ones that] need to attract highly skilled employees (e.g., engineers, designers, data engineers, data scientists, product managers, etc.).
