Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

My company uses TriNet for payroll services, onboarding, record keeping, and policies. The platform allows everything to be accessible in one place rather than us having to hunt down all the proper documentation in various locations. It also enables the employees to get a direct point to the company's policies rather than them searching on our Google Drive.

Pros

  • Support
  • Training
  • Explanations

Cons

  • Time & Attendance
  • Holiday Hours
  • Time Off Request
  • Payroll Grid
  • Payroll Accuracy
  • Payroll Reports
  • Documentation
The TriNet platform requires some improvements, but after the training, it has become much easier to use. The mobile time and attendance app has given various employees a lot of issues when trying to log in, and we have had issues where their platform has been down, but we have received no communication from them.
Other people within my company have worked with the support team directly, but I have not had to contact support on the platform.
Our company was not with TriNet during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I like QuickBooks better because the upload automatically populated the holiday hours. In contrast, in TriNet, the holiday hours are on the timecard, but when we export the import from Time and Attendance, we have to manually add the holiday hours to the payroll grid every time there is a holiday.

Do you think TriNet delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with TriNet's feature set?

Yes

Did TriNet live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TriNet go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TriNet again?

No

The support that TriNet receives pushes me to provide an eight only because I have had many issues processing payroll. The holiday hours do not automatically populate on the upload for the time & attendance report uploaded to the payroll grid, which results in us manually adding the hours. We have also encountered issues with salaries doubling related to holiday hours. If there is a termination in a pay period, the employee stays on the pay grid, and we have to follow up to ensure that the individual is removed. Additionally, some employees forget to request DTO while on vacation, and we were able to add that in before, but the employee has to do that now, and it has to be approved by the manager before payroll is processed, which resulted in the employee being underpaid on various occasions.
