Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

The employee self-service function is great. There are so many things that the employee can maintain and update, such as change address or telephone number, view/change federal and state withhold allowances, view/print pay statements, view pay history, and for the past two years, view/print W-2s. Employees can access their HRMS accounts 24/7, as long as they have internet access. The HR staff is no longer printing pay history info for employees, nor do we have a line of employees requesting a change to withhold allowances; employees have the ability to print and change their own info.
  • The top 3 Functions ULTI does well:
  • #1 Employee Self-Service; GFB Human Resources is no longer in the “printing” business.
  • #2 Reporting, our leadership and management team love the Employee Turnover Report. This report provides a snap-shop of employee turnover, by department, and by company. The ULTI support team assisted us with tweaking the report to meet our needs.
  • #3 System Flexibility & Accessibility, large amounts of employee data can be made available to all employees, regardless of their location, simply by placing info on the HRMS homepage. The need for HR to print Employee Handbooks, Policies & Procedures, and Health Plan Info was eliminated.
  • When implementing the software, specifically for reports within BI Cognos, I highly recommend listing the reports that you will need now, 3 months from now, and even 12 months from now. I encourage you to share the list with your Ultipro implementation team, who will make recommendations on “how best” to configure the system that will satisfy your reporting needs today, tomorrow and future long term needs.
  • We are able to manage all HR activities within one platform.
The three most important factors that lead us to UltiPro:
Product Implementation - UltiPro provided a dedicated implementation team. All team members were very knowledgeable, extremely patient, and provided great feedback.
Cost - price negotiation was a key element. UltiPro was open-minded and willing to negotiate.
Platform Functionality - all the tasks and processes demonstrated were functional. If a task/function was not doable, then UltiPro advised that it was not possible. The references that were checked to confirm platform functionality advised all processes worked as intended and there were no unexpected surprises during implementation.
We have not encountered any issues with UltiPro system performance or accessibility. Page navigation is very intuitive. A search feature was recently added to the HRIS platform, which enhances user experience. System maintenance is planned; thus, UltiPro provides advance notice (at least 3 - 4 months advance notice) of all scheduled enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance. UltiPro provides system upgrades at no additional cost, which we LOVE!
The turn-around-time for any “urgent” support issue has been impressive. We have had one (1) top priority issue that required immediate attention by UltiPro; once we logged the ticket on-line, a customer support specialist called us within 45 minutes of initiating the support request. And this particular issue occurred on a Sunday night at 10:00 PM. The ULTI support team was able to restore access to a custom link that we had placed on the HRMS home page within the hour. Our Executive Relationship Management Team is very attentive to our needs and does a great job of providing knowledgeable resources to assist with GFB specific custom projects/initiatives.

During the onset of COVID-19 in March-2020, as we were transitioning to alternate work environments, we encountered an error while processing biweekly payroll. The error would not allow us to generate pay batches, which is a "major-processing-step" for payroll. We contacted the UltiPro Payroll Assist 800# and the issue was resolved within 10 minutes. The Payroll Customer Service Rep was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He advised the batch error was generated because the payroll reset function did not completely process. We then realized the office building encountered a power surged the week prior just as the payroll reset process was started. As many of you know, payroll processing is a time-sensitive task; therefore, in our opinion, having an urgent payroll issue resolved in less than 30 minutes represents exceptional customer support. UltiPro gets an A+ for Customer Support Services!
UltiPro satisfies all our HRIS and payroll needs and is very user-friendly. The flexibility provided for payroll processing allows us to automate our commission only pay cycles, which was a manual process. UltiPro is the most robust, user-friendly, employee self-service HRMS product out there and we highly recommend it!

UltiPro training programs are great. They (Ultimate Software support team) are always updating and improving their training delivery strategies to ensure that all users get the assistance or the help they need to complete a task, process, or transaction. UltiPro Job Aids are also very good learning tools, but our favorite training tool is the ULTI Quick Tours; they are outstanding. The Quick Tours are step-by-step interactive videos for specific features, functions, or transactions; the average time for each interactive tour is 5 – 10 minutes. We promote the Quick Tours in our GFB Quick Guide To Accessing & Maintaining Your HRMS Account hand-outs.
Training obtained at the Atlanta office is always great. The instructors are very knowledgeable about the subject matter and is open to any decisions a training participant may have regarding the topic. We recently attended the "Year-End" session and our instructor Kellie provided hand-outs and real-work examples on how to handle adjustments related to employee payroll and W2. Kellie is a great instructor and has a vast knowledge on payroll taxes, which made the 2 hour drive to Atlanta noteworthy.
