Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro
The employee self-service function is great. There are so many things that the employee can maintain and update, such as change address or telephone number, view/change federal and state withhold allowances, view/print pay statements, view pay history, and for the past two years, view/print W-2s. Employees can access their HRMS accounts 24/7, as long as they have internet access. The HR staff is no longer printing pay history info for employees, nor do we have a line of employees requesting a change to withhold allowances; employees have the ability to print and change their own info.
- The top 3 Functions ULTI does well:
- #1 Employee Self-Service; GFB Human Resources is no longer in the “printing” business.
- #2 Reporting, our leadership and management team love the Employee Turnover Report. This report provides a snap-shop of employee turnover, by department, and by company. The ULTI support team assisted us with tweaking the report to meet our needs.
- #3 System Flexibility & Accessibility, large amounts of employee data can be made available to all employees, regardless of their location, simply by placing info on the HRMS homepage. The need for HR to print Employee Handbooks, Policies & Procedures, and Health Plan Info was eliminated.
- When implementing the software, specifically for reports within BI Cognos, I highly recommend listing the reports that you will need now, 3 months from now, and even 12 months from now. I encourage you to share the list with your Ultipro implementation team, who will make recommendations on “how best” to configure the system that will satisfy your reporting needs today, tomorrow and future long term needs.

Product Implementation - UltiPro provided a dedicated implementation team. All team members were very knowledgeable, extremely patient, and provided great feedback.

Platform Functionality - all the tasks and processes demonstrated were functional. If a task/function was not doable, then UltiPro advised that it was not possible. The references that were checked to confirm platform functionality advised all processes worked as intended and there were no unexpected surprises during implementation.

During the onset of COVID-19 in March-2020, as we were transitioning to alternate work environments, we encountered an error while processing biweekly payroll. The error would not allow us to generate pay batches, which is a "major-processing-step" for payroll. We contacted the UltiPro Payroll Assist 800# and the issue was resolved within 10 minutes. The Payroll Customer Service Rep was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He advised the batch error was generated because the payroll reset function did not completely process. We then realized the office building encountered a power surged the week prior just as the payroll reset process was started. As many of you know, payroll processing is a time-sensitive task; therefore, in our opinion, having an urgent payroll issue resolved in less than 30 minutes represents exceptional customer support. UltiPro gets an A+ for Customer Support Services!
