Overall Satisfaction with UserTesting

UserTesting helps our UX team to get feedback on our products, design prototypes, and concepts, as well as giving us a better understanding of user needs. It helps us to stay focused on understanding our users and making sure our products align with what they need to accomplish and to do so quickly and easily.
  • Quick turnaround on recruiting for sessions.
  • Storing and note-taking on moderated research.
  • Scheduling sessions for moderated research.
  • Excel export of study data needs improvement and ability to customize.
  • The option to have a user video pause while you're taking notes and restart after you save a note is great, but sometimes it doesn't work and you have to keep manually starting the video again. That gets old when you're taking a lot of notes.
  • We've seen definitely seen increased conversion on design revisions we've tested through UserTesting.
Our customer success rep is fantastic and is always able to help us out when we need it.
The site is really intuitive. I've used this and some competing services and UserTesting is very easy to use by comparison.
We have been able to target our specific audiences and get feedback from them very quickly. The feedback we've been able to get has been incredibly valuable, enabling us to roll out products and designs that we know will be meet users' needs and be very intuitive.
UserTesting is very competitive with UserZoom and both are great solutions. UserTesting offers more functionality for qualitative research while UserZoom offers stronger quantitative research functionality, so the choice will boil down to which of those you have the greatest need for.
UserTesting is great for scenarios where you need to get feedback from a general audience. If you specifically need to recruit only your own users, you may have more difficulty using their panel. Their panel also tends to skew toward people who have Bachelor's degrees, so if you need a lot of people at lower education levels, you may have trouble using their panel to recruit participants. But the quick turnaround is SUPER helpful and the functionality they have for note-taking is great.
