Overall Satisfaction with Vidyard

Our sales, marketing, and even our support teams are using Vidyard to help with customer questions about how to use the product, create content around how to use the product, and to just send a little personalized message to a prospect or current customer. We're able to keep track of whether or not the person viewed the video and how much of it they watched which is especially useful for our outbound prospecting efforts and figuring out what works and what doesn't.
  • It's easy to use.
  • The integrations with Gmail and SalesLoft are HUGE for me and our team.
  • It helps create a brand around myself and my prospects and customers can see that I am a real person.
  • Being able to edit a video can get confusing at times.
  • The UI on the web app is not very user friendly.
  • It's help with getting meetings at conferences and increased my response rates on emails when I use it.
  • Customers love that if they have a question on how to use something I can just send them a quick video showing and explaining exactly how to use it.
It was simple to implement through Google Chrome. Just had to download the extension and we were off making videos and adding them to SalesLoft and Gmail emails. I like how easy it is to make a video by just clicking on the little green alien robot thingy. Can't get much easier.
They're always pretty quick to help us out if we've had any issues. We've had a bunch of feature requests that would seem to be no-brainers to us to add to the product that we've never seen come to fruition so I wish they would take requests a little bit more seriously.
  • CloudApp, Vimeo and Wistia
Vidyard is best for making quick videos to send to prospects while sharing your screen as well as your face. Cloudapp is great for internal use, taking screenshots and making quick GIFs. Vimeo and Wistia look like great tools to house all of the content we make in one central place that anyone can access.
It works best for me towards the end of an email Cadence with SalesLoft. It also works great when we make a quick, cool video before a conference. It gets people to recognize us and even want to meet up with us.
I like to keep a video thumbnail in my email signature to help me stand out as well.
If I could do more with editing videos inside of their web app I'd give it a 10.

Using Vidyard

12 - Sales Development reps, Account Executives, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success all use Vidyard.
2 - Our Marketing leader and the person in charge of Sales.
  • Making quick prospecting videos
  • To make training videos for customers and prospects
  • When we are having internal issues to make a video to send to our development team
  • We make fun videos to put on LinkedIn
  • We use it to screenshare our workflows with our product to show potential customers how awesome it is.
  • A place to house our content to create an online channel with all of the awesome stuff we do.
  • TO create a channel that can teach our prospects and customers how to create better content and put out more personalized outreach that resonates with people.
I'm definitely going to continue to use the GoVideo app but would want to look around to see if there are better alternatives to create higher quality content and videos for all to see.

We mostly went with Vidyard because of how easy it is to use and how awesome the team was when we originally made the purchase.
Probably wouldn't do anything differently. This was the best option at the time.

If you're just using the GoVideo app you could probably just figure it out yourself in a few minutes.

  • The Chrome extension makes it so easy to make a video whenever you want.
  • The SalesLoft integration is super helpful
  • The Gmail integration makes life easier
  • Editing a video is basically nonexistent. You can only cut the beginning or the end and this is a fairly new feature.
  • It's really difficult to save a video to edit it outside of the Vidyard web app.
Really easy to make simple and short videos. Probably the best tool out there for that but if you wanna make some quality content you might wanna look elsewhere. Also wish they had a mobile app.

Vidyard Reliability

Almost never have an issue. It's had a couple bugs here and there but it's very reliable.
It's there when I need it 99% of the time.
It's usually quick. Have to update it pretty frequently and some pages take a long time to load.
