Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

I am my team’s project manager and serve as the main POC for our Wrike account. We use Wrike to setup all projects (new, recurring, etc.), we use the request forms as step one in our intake process. I audit our active projects in Wrike every week to get a high level view of project status, deadlines and deliverables.

Pros

  • I like the reporting function. It automates the information I need each week and saves me time.
  • I enjoy the Wrike bot and AI functions (dependencies, Wrike bot reminders)
  • I like being able to customize my dashboard and make it unique to my workflow.

Cons

  • I would like to see the ability to “upgrade” or “downgrade” projects to tasks or tasks to projects.
  • A more thorough training upon contract activation. Showing me what (based on my organization’s workflow and needs) suggestions Wrike would have for me and how to implement them.
  • The cost for Wrike is high compared to competitors. Either a lower price point or more seats/functionalities for the price I’m paying.
  • We do not use Wrike for any budgeting or investing purposes.
  • I do feel it has a huge impact on work performance by keeping the team organized and on track
  • The “duplicate task” and automation functions save me so much time.
We use the dependencies function and duplicate task function almost daily. I also really appreciate the Wrike bot reminders (letting me know that all subtasks have been completed so that I can mark the main project and/or main task as completed as well). It is a pet peeve of mine to have “ghost” projects and tasks, so this function really helps me keep that organized.
As mentioned before, Wrike bots help remind me (and other members on my team) to close out projects and tasks that are all marked as completed. The dependencies really help my team with waterfall style projects that have a predictive lifecycle with the automated status updates and comments from the Wrike bots. These have proven to keep us organized and on track.
I was not a part of the decision to choose Wrike over Asana. I know we reevaluate this decision every year. Asana has a much more attractive price point for what we need and is very competitive in that way against Wrike. I think we continue to use Wrike because we do not have the capacity at this time to onboard our team of 30+ people to a new platform when what we currently use is working.

Do you think Wrike delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Wrike's feature set?

Yes

Did Wrike live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Wrike go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

Well suited to manage work across a large team. Easy to setup. I would recommend a less expensive price point. This has been the biggest issue with Wrike in my opinion. Compared to other PM systems, Wrike is always the most expensive. My team members also give the feedback that things are hard to find or that the projects get “weedsy” (because there are too many tasks/subtasks/etc.)
