Overall Satisfaction with Wrike
We use Wrike for all our internal and cross-functional project needs at my organization. It's a handy tool for determining your week-by-week project load, to-do list, and identifying areas where you're falling behind in your workload. Also very useful for cross-team collaboration, where we need to discuss different deliverables and have a friendly debate in the comments section. We can break down long, complex projects into manageable pieces, allowing us to understand each element before we begin working, while also being able to adjust along the way.
Pros
- Cross Team Collaboration.
- Open Communication.
- Organization
- Automations
- Reviews
Cons
- User Interface.
- Dynamic Anchor Dating.
- Version Controlling.
- Quicker Review Iterations.
- Transparent Work Creation.
- Transparent Organization Priorities.
We have used some of the automation features here. We use it quite often in our review process, where we need many team members looking at a single piece of copy or media and need their input by a certain date. It's easy to create a single review task, assign it to the relevant people, and have Wrike auto-generate those individual tasks so nothing slips through the cracks. This allows for large group reviews where everyone can have an opinion.
- Asana and monday.com
There is a time and place for any project management tool, and it largely depends on what your team has historically used and where they feel comfortable. Many of the tools are so similar in their features that feel becomes such a significant factor in how teams handle work inside them. Wrike is more focused on business outcomes, and as such, the UI is drier, which is not a bad thing per se. Less cute and "bouncy" than what you would find in Asana, maybe fewer design considerations, but this lets you focus on tasks and project setup.
