Overall Satisfaction with Zoho CRM

Currently, we are only using Zoho CRM in my division, which does SaaS Sales. I primarily use it for pipeline management and the integration to Zoho Books for quoting. I was not involved in the buying decision and regretfully had to take over the use of this product and am looking for alternatives.
  • It is helpful to have a pipeline to view, but not being able to have reasons why a deal was lost really sucks.
The top navigation has most of the things you would want to get into. the side navigation (when present) is more confusing than helpful [in my opinion], [it has] more options than needed and never seems to have the one I am looking for. [I feel like] settings and configuration [are] a nightmare. There is a single settings menu and the options are hidden in the subgroups and I keep having to Google to find where a toggle or setting is.
My gut feeling is that the configuration is probably robust, but really takes someone who wants to learn a lot about the product. As a user, [I don't think it's] organized in a way that feels intuitive. With multiple divisions, I would want multiple pipelines and I would want to classify deals for why they were lost so we could do retro's to improve and find focus areas. [In my experience] tasks are so cumbersome they are useless, but that is par for course with most CRMs.
My predecessor chose to migrate from Infusionsoft(Keap) to Zoho CRM for the integrations to Zoho Books for quoting and RingCentral for calling from the web app. I would prefer to migrate to ActiveCampaign or HubSpot. We are likely migrating to Dynamics 365 though to tie into the other Microsoft products we use.

Do you think Zoho CRM delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Zoho CRM's feature set?

No

Did Zoho CRM live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Zoho CRM go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Zoho CRM again?

No

Someone coming from Act! would probably enjoy the cloud aspect and feel like they were getting an upgrade. Someone more familiar with cloud applications or who wants all communication to be in a central place will be sorely disappointed [in my opinion]. I tried to use the Android and iPad apps to keep up on walks and spent more time stopping to try to get to [the] information or hopping between Zoho CRM and Outlook to be at all effective. They have a RingCentral integration that I feel could be useful, but so far it hasn't been helpful to us.
