Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
Overall Adaptive Defense 360 is way easier to deploy, to manage and to control. [In our experience] Sophos solutions were extremely tedious and there was little to no help from Sophos Support, and The McAfee platform was a complete disaster from day one. Price could be a bit …
Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
Adaptive Defense 360 has a better management console than any of these 3 competitors. Adaptive Defense 360 has a better back-end tech support team than McAfee and SentinelOne. Adaptive Defense 360 has pretty solid reporting, way better than Webroot. Adaptive Defense 360 was …
Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
Adaptive Defense 360 [/ WatchGuard EPDR] is by far the best AV software I've had experience with. It is not a memory hog like Norton or misses threats like McAfee
Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
Since we switched to the WatchGuard products the amount of incidents that needed an engineer for resolution has dropped considerable.

Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
We were looking for an all-in-one product to protect endpoints with EDR capabilities, [third-party] software updates, and drive encryption (Compliance GDPR). [Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR] seems more simple to manage and [closer] to our requirements

Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR is the most complete and powerful of all of them.
Chose Watchguard Endpoint Security
There been a long time since we've used any product other than Adaptive Defence 360 but since we adopted it we haven't looked back. In fact, we replaced a freshly purchased copy of Norton with it as it was not meeting our needs at the time, though the product might have changed …

If your organization is like mine (nonprofit and tight budget) this product is for you. The first 200 endpoints are free and being we are a small organization, this product is perfect for us. I was able to use Action1 to upgrade all my endpoints from Windows 10 to 11 pretty much effortlessly. If you are not a nonprofit and have more endpoints over 200, this is still a great product to use as I don't find it very expensive to incorporate into your infrastructure.

I think McAfee is great to have whether it's for work or for personal use. While it has some drawbacks, I like the peace of mind of feeling safe when I'm browsing the web/email, especially when my computer has sensitive/confidential information, knowing that McAfee will immediately detect any threats. The UI is extremely easy to navigate, which makes it easy for users regardless of how tech-savvy they are.

I would absolutely recommend Watchguard Endpoint Security to a colleague - as there's only four of us on the team in the entire district. The additional client insights have been invaluable to us. We had, historically, been doing Windows updates A. whenever a device was turned in with issues, or B. each Summer during device turn in. We can now control those updates with this software - pushing Windows patches to necessarily clients with the push of a button. This has saved us COUNTLESS hours of driving or directing staff to update themselves (and then ignoring us). We do have a remote desktop client that we have utilized in the past, but updating during the day is cumbersome for teachers. Watchguard Endpoint Security has now given us more control over our devices - as well as better protection from threats as well.

Pros
Action1
  • Easy remote access to devices. That simple. We have some very unskilled users in the field where asking them to access their PC via conventional remote tools like TeamViewer, Anydesk, etc. was always a pain. Now, all they have to do is ensure their PC is online, and we can connect to them.
  • Remote software deploy. Before Action1, we did have some GPOs and scripts, but again - being able to deploy to PCs outside of our office/LAN, is just beautiful. On top of the standard repository, being able to create new packages is very useful for our scenario.
  • Inventory Reporting. Recently we had to identify PCs running old versions of Windows. Can't highlight enough how easy it is.

  • Excellent protection of all internet connected assets on our VPN.
  • Constant updates of needed security patches that ensure our network and systems are protected from current and emerging/potential threats.
  • Prompt and reliable customer service that provides needed answers and expertise in a crisis.
  • Strategic whitepapers on emerging cyber threats and McAfee solutions to resolve them before they become a problem for my team or our clients.

  • The protection is fast with unperceivable loss of network speed.
  • Watchguard Endpoint Security is extremely accurate. That is, we never experienced false positives.
  • Something else tht does not get mentioned enough, is we have yet to overwhelm our Firebox 390 - it has kept up with detections!

Cons
Action1
  • Remote Access could use added functionality
  • The deployment screens for update deferrals can be hard to understand at first and easy to skip since it carries some default info when you create a new automation rather than a more conspicuous prompt to update.

  • EndPoint has an optional feature for automatic and remote software updates on endpoints, a handy option for keeping computers up-to-date and secure. However, it is not used to install new software but only to update it. We believe that this part is instrumental, but it is somewhat incomplete.
  • Another drawback is that some complementary functions to the antivirus, such as the one above, are optional and require a separate subscription.
  • The implementation of EndPoint requires some planning, especially the time required to harden and learn the system. This is not critical and is typical for this type of system, but it is necessary to plan it well.

Action1 has taken many of the tasks that are time consuming and made them simple automated tasks that can be run on a schedule. I can schedule tasks to run off-hours and know that they will be done and I no longer have worry about it. Easy and intuitive MSP management portal to manage all of your clients from a single pane of glass. Policies can be pushed down globally or individually based on needs. The client portal allows access to their tenant information and installs only which is nice if you are working with clients who might have an internal person or an IT team that also wants access to things to manage themself.

I gave it a 10 because I compare it to air conditioning. I need it to work every day, 24/7. I need it to be reliable and not something that requires a ton of interaction from staff to make sure it works every day. In addition, I should be able to run other things at my house when the AC is on. Panda fits that description.

Implementation shouldn't present any problems in standard office environments. In environments with development teams, however, caution is needed. If zero trust is enabled, mechanisms must be in place to ensure that internal software isn't classified as a false positive (software certificate, exception folder, etc.)

After looking at different solutions, Action1 [Cloud Remote Monitoring and Management Solution] was the perfect fit for us that delivered all of the features we wanted without being as costly as some of the others alternatives we've looked at. There was no minimum endpoint count and they even offer up to 50 endpoints for free, which is really great for a small organization like us to help us lower our starting costs and still allows us to grow at our pace without having to commit to a defined amount of endpoints to start.

I haven't used Norton for a while, but when I did use it I felt that it slowed down my computer and had constant pop-ups, which were both equally frustrating and annoying. It was also very difficult to remove from my computer. Malwarebytes is a great, straightforward program I've used for virus scanning. It's pretty bare bones but I think if you just want something to scan for viruses it gets the job done quickly and reliably. In my opinion McAfee offers similar benefits as Norton but its more intuitive and doesn't impact system performance.

Nosso foco é trazer os clientes que possuem outras soluções para base da Watchguard, contudo algumas empresas possuem departamento de TI próprio e já atuam com outras ferramentas.
