If you need to process payroll frequently for several hundred employees and file various reports for tax/compliance purposes, ADP is a sound tool. If you are looking for a comprehensive employee onboarding solution, there are many more automated and advanced tools on the market. The benefits administration tools are decent once you have completed the implementation but mentally prepare yourself for the implementation to take several months longer than what you originally anticipated.

Netchex is great if you want to log in to one place to take care of all things employee-related. It is especially helpful if you have multiple locations or divisions as you can easily set these up and manage them as needed. The more employees you have, the more you will benefit from a program like Netchex that provides so much support for your business. Our company has multiple locations of stores and many employee position levels and Netchex has been great at keeping all of this simple when a lessor product could make it much more complicated. Netchex would not be as appropriate if you have a very small business or a simple payroll structure. It would definitely still work well for you, it would just be more sophisticated than you would require.
Read full review Pros The Benefits Services Team has provided seamless integration between our employees and their benefits selections upon hire, as well as annual enrollment for all employees. It has saved me untold hours in not only communicating with all of my benefit partners but also in invoice reconciliation and life event changes. The recruitment and job requisition has been an absolute game-changer for our company. We launched a career center on our website that integrates from the platform, and allows us to attract talent at a much higher level. It also integrates with the top job posting sites for maximum exposure. All communications with candidates are tracked and saved on the system, and I love that the templates are customizable. ADP is excellent at payroll processing. This seems basic, however, there is so much flexibility built into their system. We have had to process one-time checks, make corrections to previous checks, revise end-of-year W2's and the payroll team is always there to help and guide us through the solutions. Read full review My Netchex Service Team is very responsive and friendly. They are willing and able to spend the amount of time needed on one call to troubleshoot most problems or answer questions. Their recent updates to the employee dashboard have been well-received by our seasonal team. Employees are able to quickly find what they are looking for which has minimized the amount of requests that my team receives regarding questions on pay or updating personal information. Online W-2 forms have been a game-changer for us since moving to Netchex. Our staff tend to move around a lot and most do not get the mailed copy of their W-2. The electronic consent has saved me hours and hours of time. Read full review Cons The font size of employees' pay rate on Pay Profile should be smaller. I'm always worried someone walks up to me and I can't minimize the screen fast enough. Assigning a time-off policy isn't easy to find. Vacation accrual policy is set up behind the scenes, I'd like to see the criteria without calling customer service. Read full review Support needs to be available more times than just normal business hours. Tax support is basically non-existent. This seems that it should be TOP NOTCH. Some of the functionality of the Netchex program could be tweaked. It is not a keyboard friendly program at all. Must mouse your way through. When the program times out, it takes 2 to 3 screens before it really logs you out. When submitting from Netchex to Dealertrack, it would be nice to show the payroll # or payroll date that has been submitted. Currently once you hit submit, the screen reverts back to the last successful payroll submit. This process is just a bit confusing, especially for new users. Read full review Likelihood to Renew
Due to the lack of support from the sales and service center we are looking at other options outside of ADP. Again it is a good system, it just lacks the support it deserves from the company employees. It is just unimaginable that you will need to reach out to a service provider several times for the same issue and not get it resolved.

Easy to work with.

Global HR management and payroll processing is a complex area. That said, ADP is going a great job with the software platform. Users do need to come into this work with knowledge of what the outcome should be, how the input affects output, how one item affects other items, and more. This is not an area for an entry clerk to be working. Customer service has really ramped up in effectiveness. Cross training so one representative can assist without multiple transfers, has been a big improvement. The online support platform allows for creating a case, following progress and constant communication. Choosing an 8 rating leaves room for the major and exciting changes that are in progress. We look forward to what is rolled out soon based on the ever present feedback from users

ADP outages are very rare

Overall, I think the functionality of the program works pretty well. Sometimes, certain browsers do not work well for the policy function of ADP, but that is the only issue thus far

The customer service is very efficient in handling problems we face. I had a problem regarding the tax declaration at the time of joining the company. So I wrote an email to the ADP team to resolve the problem, and they provided me an instant response within 24 hours and resolved my problem within three working days. Which I feel was a great experience.

The first line CE team is phenomenal. They are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We have had less luck with the responsiveness of the tax department. However, their response time has improved drastically over the past year.

In-person training was pretty good - I think this significantly depends on the trainer. Our trainer was really good and showed what ADP can do - but I know that all trainers are not the same - and this truly makes such as difference. Overall, our training went pretty well.

At the time training was not as expansive as it is now. If it could go wrong it did for me so the process was difficult and lengthy. I needed to have more in person walkthroughs of things to ensure the transition was done correctly. Not sure what else I can say, we were part of the initial move to Workforce Now when it was introduced.

Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.

Implementation took some time but was pretty much error free.

ADP Workforce Now is simply way more user friendly than
, with a much simpler and more modern looking UI, for both users and Admins.
's interface was just way too complicated and old looking, for that alone we decide to go with ADP Workforce Now to avoid having to deal with employee confusion an poor onboarding.

I like that they are not so big that they ignore the small customers. They are also reasonably priced. Their support is excellent, I had worked with ADP in a prior position, and we did not have the same kind of support

We use ADP Workforce Now in all of our departments and at multiple locations, and it has worked pretty good most of the time. Any scaling we may do in the future will be easy with ADP Workforce Now and their software. As for using ADP Workforce Now across departments, it works seamlessly. There are designated codes for departments so it is as easy as knowing the codes and plugging them in as needed.
