Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Payroll used by Finance department, Time & Attendance by most of organization. Billing practices (by person) make it unpractical to add features or the HR module. Becoming more problematic not having HR and PR using the same software but ADP way to costly to add when other vendors include at a much lower price.

  • Ability to turn on and off FICA exemption with same file #, other vendors can do it why not ADP?????, big problem with colleges!
  • Run report with W2 data in excel form at for analysis
  • time and attendance modifications can be difficult
  • Time and attendance has positive impact
  • After creating our own mechanism to upload payroll into our GL, positive impact
If we could afford the HR side, would be be a higher rating, Payroll and Time and Attendance are only pieces of the complete package.
Many hours to perfect the integration from ADP to Ellucian.
Never completely successful integrating from Ellucian to Banner.
Not successful integrating ADP to Sync Stream, but use custom reporting to "make it work".
We haven't in some time but do plan to enter an RFP process in the near future.

The inability to turn FICA tax exemption on/off for students is a big issue for me. I also don't like that we don't utilize HR because of cost - it is becoming more and more difficult not sharing a database with HR.
ADP has been spending significant time and resources with updates and improvements that are good but too often when they are rolled out, many problems surface with things not running properly for practitioners and employees at the start which is frustrating.

600 - Payroll is used within Finance and limited IT department. Remainder are time and attendance users.

We need to find a cost efficient solution that will provide both HR and Payroll access

Yes - ADP upgraded us from previous product to this, we didn't choose to replace.

  • it was lengthy and had many hiccups but was years ago

ADP Workforce Now Training

At the time training was not as expansive as it is now. If it could go wrong it did for me so the process was difficult and lengthy. I needed to have more in person walkthroughs of things to ensure the transition was done correctly. Not sure what else I can say, we were part of the initial move to Workforce Now when it was introduced.

My account manager Eugene Cahill always goes above and beyond to ensure everything is working properly. Recently he stayed with me long after closing time to work through a complex setup for shift differentials. It was much appreciated.
