Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

I am the Director of Finance, so I use ADP for 401k, payroll, and timecard management. Our HR team also uses the benefits, talent, and onboarding portals. I have had great experience with the flow of information setup. I was a part of the team that finalized many items to develop a process, but ADP made it easy. It is user-friendly on the employee end and has all the tools you need as a practitioner. They address specific issues like syncing information acquiring a potential employee to ensure their PTO accrues on schedule and their 401k is active. I have had a few issues that their support team can resolve, and they continue to grow and expand, fulfilling my needs.

Pros

  • Notifying superiors of missed entries.
  • Preparing W-9s and highlighting errors.
  • Generating useful reports in short time.
  • Company wide, and group based mass changes.

Cons

  • The limitations in payroll functions that require backend assistance.
  • The scope of knowledge of the support team.
  • Certain aesthetic updates that are unnecessary and have caused confusion.
  • It has sustained a good line connection and communication the employee.
  • It has tracked timecards and converted it to pay info which has established trust.
  • It has actually help us save money from converting certain tasks to ADP.
Its great because we organized by location, department, and program. I was able to ensure each employee has their specific allocation and the grants they may be tied to. It allows us to diversify our allocations for all of our people and place ease on the finance end since all the input is connected through GL.
  • We use the GL to get the information for MIP our accounting system.
  • We tried to with out first Talent acquisition site, no longer in service.
  • We tried to integrate with out background checks system GCC but have left to ADP.
We have not gone too deep in integration; I learned a lot at the ADP conference from other people who use the system we use. It was a great experience to understand how others used the system.
They pale compared to ADP because they each have broken systems that do not flow from beginning to end. Another system is required to support all of the functions needed to process payroll. That puts too much on me, the person, instead of the system. We should work smarter, not harder.

Do you think ADP Workforce Now delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

Yes

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

Most of it is not local, which impacts barriers and customs. I do think they know a lot, but not the cohesive piece. Some naturally know more about certain things than others. The payroll section should be broken out more because payroll is a big topic with many problems, so it can be hard to get the right person who can actually help you.
It is well suited for companies that have over 50 employees working in multiple departments and should be allocated in specific ways. It can help get all their information from the beginning point of interviews to the end in which a check is produced, allowing the employee to update their information and add their direct deposit.
