AdRoll is great for more advanced Marketing organizations with a robust CRM and Marketing Automation platform as it provides a scalable platform for targeting multiple different audiences along their entire customer journey. Those just starting out may not be able to leverage the tool to its potential without robust training/support

Criteo Dynamic Retargeting

Well suited if you have great product photography, I think we are not seeing the returns we could be if we were to improve our photography. Also, the constant changing of bid values seems a bit excessive and not intuitive in terms of we see that the ads are working well on a low bid but not so much on a higher bid and yet it keeps on asking us to approve raises in the bid which never seem to work

  • Our ads appear on a very diverse range of sites and some very prominent ones like eBay etc.
  • The dashboard gives you a very good feel for how the campaign is going.
  • There is an API so if this works out for us we will then look to integrate it into our CRM to see who is at a glance that is responsive to remarketing.

Honestly, AdRoll is like every other ad management system. In fact, all ad management systems are pretty much identical with a few proprietary tweaks. Creating a campaign is done in one seamless screen with everything you need right there. The ability to add creative and even order AdRoll to create ads for you is also easy. The monitoring of a live campaign is easy as you can see all the necessary information from the main screen. Super easy to use and reliable deliverability

Alternatives Considered

AdRoll works the best for our mission and campaigns. The others were considered for our current campaigns, but were not easy to use, cost too much to utilize, and were not ideal for the use case we made

Criteo is easier to get up and running, and provides a better user experience on their dashboard, but the product comes at a premium. Compared to other, similar retargeting tools, Criteo was more expensive. We used Criteo for over a year, but ultimately paused our campaigns to work on a less expensive platform with more control over our ads and network.
