Fantastic for social media management and customer care. Less appropriate for areas where social media, content creation, analytic tracking or customer care is less of a concern. However these days the majority of companies will probably have a social media team, so it is more of a necessity these days really

When we are looking for content to post for our account or our clients, the share browser extension allows us to quickly schedule posts as groups for our accounts or our clients. The Smart Q is right there as well, so we are able to post quickly and efficiently.

Pros

  • My favorite feature is the ability to schedule a post to multiple platforms (i.e, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) within one screen, but with the added bonus of being able to tweak each platform's post. That means custom URLs w/unique UTM codes, adjusted post length for different platforms, etc. A terrific feature.
  • The content queues are also wonderful. They allow me to find and distribute evergreen content at custom intervals without having to "reschedule" each time. Simply load up the content into a queue, set the days/times for each queue, and how many times you want that content to recycle and BOOM you're done.
  • Beyond that, they're always improving the platform. Each week some tweaks are made, which are announced in a blog post. The customer service is top notch, and they're humans -- meaning they're not just copying & pasting from a script, but they have personality and they listen. This goes a LONG way, and makes it easier to be patient with features that might not yet quite be there, or when there's an issue or unexpected change to an API that affects the platform.

Cons

  • The mobile app could catch up with the desktop version but it still has all the basic functionality and doesn't slow you down.

  • Could really do with supporting more brands on the basic paid plan. This is a useful tool for most businesses who have multiple social media profiles and not everyone who uses them are a rising social media star who uses this as their main tool.

Alternatives Considered

An important consideration is I believe AgoraPulse is designed to support three of the social profiles that are most important to me. After comparing the products side by side over a short time AgoraPulse proved to the be the match for my needs. One of the other platforms had an interface that was too cluttered. Another had similar functionality but was more expensive

I have tried Hootsuite before and do prefer how easy it is to use Zoho Social over Hootsuite. I feel managing multiple accounts is much easier with Zoho
