Breezy HR
Chose Breezy HR
Out of all of the applicant tracking systems I have used, Breezy HR is the most basic that I have experienced. The capabilities within other ATS platforms far outperform what you can get from Breezy HR.
Chose Breezy HR
I did not choose Breezy and it's the most frustrating ATS I've used in my 20+ year career. It would be different if they were willing to work on making their software better, but they become very defensive when you tell them there's something wrong with it. I would rather have …
Chose Breezy HR
The decider for us was that we were able to use the tool and try it out for free. Having the team look at it and get a hands-on feel for it really made the decision easy for us. It also had more features in it than the other products we looked at. It felt like a more complete …
Chose Breezy HR
I liked that Breezy HR had an option to try it out before we committed. I also preferred the User interface of Breezy HR to other options we looked into. The pricing was very attractive as well. Plus it included more features than most competitors we demo-ed did.
Lever
Chose Lever
We were using a free version of Breezy before. It was clunky and difficult to use. The time spent trying to navigate the product could be better spent on candidates. I used it for a few weeks while waiting for Lever to get spun up, and the transition from one to the other was …

Breezy HR
I have never really run into an issue where Breezy was not appropriate to use. I would think more companies would use it as an ATS to contain candidates because of the ease of use. It is very easy to use Breezy to load candidates and to also import the resumes from the websites we use, as well as from our website when applicants apply to positions.

I think Lever is great for any sized company, but especially strong for smaller, growing teams. It's a very simple system, but clean, sleek, and very useful in any scenario. They have great support whenever you need it so those with smaller HR or People teams could easily benefit from their help. Can't think of too many scenarios where Lever wouldn't be well-suited, but maybe once you grow to International growth and hiring, it may be better to have a more Enterprise style business, set up for larger scaling.

Pros
Breezy HR
  • It makes high performance analysis of all resumes sent to our platform, so that it evaluates, through artificial intelligence tools, which are the best options that have been presented so far and with which you could get better results in terms of employment, or which have important health conditions.
  • Breezy HR makes it possible to make reference checking for each candidate a quick process, requiring nothing more than the contact information of those references, and that information can be automatically stored within the platform, so that in the event of a problem, it can be used as an emergency number.
  • Breezy HR fully manages human resources internally, which makes the work of HHRR managers much more minimized, implementing artificial intelligence functions to know which are the best performing employees, who could be prospects to be promoted to higher positions, and which are not working well.
  • We are pleased that Breezy HR meets its usability features so well, as demonstrated when performing employee tracking schedules. The usability of the service is so good that there are no problems working from different platforms, as the results can be kept equally extensive.
  • The technical support team provided by Breezy HR has met our expectations for quality of service, as they have been able to accommodate our situation and provide us with quality solutions, which means we will continue to communicate with them to resolve issues.

  • Great integration: Keeps a list of Outlook email communication along with LinkedIn and other data sources
  • Is fairly lively, not too much lag between screens even though it is looking through a lot of data.
  • Has excellent reporting on how well each email message is working.

Cons
Breezy HR
  • Indeed makes life difficult for them. If you have another Indeed account, you want to make sure it is all the way gone before you sign up. Otherwise, your positions won't show up. Indeed won't tell you this; instead, you have to sift through what information you do have and hope to close the account yourself. Breezy was there to help in this process, but it took some time (from Indeed) to get a clear answer.
  • Cost. If you want all of the options, cost will hit you hard - especially if you are a small business. There are pricing tiers, but - again - if you want the whole package, it is a bit pricey.
  • I wish I could click outside of the opened box and not have what I'm working on go away...

  • [In my experience,] terrible customer support - pay more to get less...
  • Integrations are spotty and can break without reason
  • Lever has so much potential, but their Roadmap is lacking in ways that will really help customers succeed
  • Focuses on the number of candidates and not the company's need to build talent in a cost effective, data driven and collaborative way
  • Overpromised and underdelivered in [the] capability of the tool. [I believe that you should] not trust your sales team.

It's no fuss and does what we need at a very reasonable price, so I can't imagine why I'd switch.

It isn't difficult to use for the applicant processing, but [I feel] if you want to pull reports or use their tools, good luck!

Support Rating
Breezy HR
The support is very frustrating. They don't research any issues and give you explanations that don't make sense, don't solve the issue, and don't make them seem trustworthy. The service levels are the most frustrating part of Breezy. The company gets defensive and upset if you tell them there's something in their software that needs to be fixed. It's constant and it's so exhausting to deal with them and their emotions. It's bizarre and it's so unprofessional.

What support? - Add a ticket and get links to [I believe] their unhelpful user guide. Add a charge if you want better support - afterward just got those links faster...

Lever is comparable to Greenhouse in its basic recruiting functions. I have found it to be WAY better than Bullhorn (clunky and overly-complicated with a very dated and non-intuitive interface) and Jazz HR (slick and pretty, but limited in its functions). The best ATS I've used is the proprietary tool at Meta, but alas, that tool is for internal use only

Return on Investment
Breezy HR
  • Breezy HR has cut our recruitment work load by about 30%. Breezy HR automates a lot of the process and cuts out a ton of manual work. This has allowed our recruiters to focus on the more important parts of the process thus resulting in higher quality hires.

  • Lever provides an enormous ROI by getting us in front of the right candidates that are going to make us more money and more successful as an org.
  • I think that both the quality and quantity of new hires has gone up ever since we started using lever and involving the entire org in the process.
  • It also saves us a lot of time because we don't need to send referrals via email, while saving/attaching resumes and such.
