If you are a sales rep and want to know if your email has been opened without having to use receipts this is perfect. However, many people find this intrusive and inappropriate. I don't believe in this day and age there should be a moral outrage to track your emails but it happens. I particularly like it for Outlook 2016. I've tried Yesaware but found this better suited.

Groove

Groove is well suited for a sales or marketing team that has started marketing, want to reach out to the masses, and automates tasks. I think it is less appropriate for account-based marketing where there are integrated landing page creation and detailed analysis of the visitors' activities on these landing pages. (i.e. action beyond clicked link). In my experience, tracking the scoring and building a profile of the targeted prospect is not part of Groove.

  • Great resource for looking up people before meetings and doing other types of background research
  • Use information found on the internet to fill in information about your contact

Groove

  • Logs emails and phone calls with my CRM; the sidebar can help me easily see any recent activity with clients
  • Sends out reminders for next steps in a Groove flow or emails that have not been followed up with; I get a daily reminder from Groove about all my flows in action, how emails were sent out and opened, and what next steps are actionable

Groove

  • Email templates are fantastic, but they sometimes don't load, and it takes me a few clicks to get to them
  • It would be great to have a shortcut Reminder option for just a few hours out when you need to remind yourself to do something later in the day
  • It would be helpful if we could choose to block out certain days in the Groove calendar availability, whereas right now we have to choose the same times each week

Groove is integral to our process and we're glad the price is affordable. The only way we would replace Groove is if the price went up or our C-suite decides to want a took that goes beyond Sales Enablement and Sales Automation

Overall high rating due to the integrations with Gmail and browser plug-in. There could be a better interface for seeing all the activities and tasks. I rarely visit the groove website but again, this is because the integrations are so good so no complaints.

Contact Monkey was the best solution for Outlook 2016. While Yesaware is a good product with Microsoft 365 integration, I found it expensive and too feature rich for what I needed. If you are just trying to find something simple that does what you need well and cheap, this is the best solution on the market. It does have Salesforce integration but I just use the Salesforce product that is free and provides the same or more prospect info.

I have never used a tool like Groove before, but now that I've seen the benefits of it, It'd be hard to keep my productivity levels as high as they are right now. The amount of time + the amount of work it saves me daily is very high! I'd be open to test other solutions, but because Groove already satisfies 100% of my needs, I don't feel the need to do so :)

We have implemented this in the Sales and Account management team, so far so good. I am not sure if we will expand it to other teams and how that would be. But I would see a good fit for finance teams too.

  • I've found companies that have shared my email and opened the email 20-60 times but never responded. It gave me an absolute understanding that this was a hot company
  • Sometimes knowing your email is being opened can be very frustrating if you cannot get a response. However, at least you know it was read and they are not interested.
  • My boss and fellow employee's don't like the fact that I know where they are located. It's somewhat divisive in that sense.

  • I love that I have the ability to go straight into another CRM from the home screen.
  • It is a time-saver, I can see who I called prior.
  • It saves money by allowing me to call up to 100 calls per day without manually doing it.
