Groove makes it fast to track all activity in Salesforce, without wasting time tracking it.
Overall Satisfaction with Groove
We use Groove to:
- Log emails from Gmail into Salesforce
- View Lead/Contact/Account/Opp info from Salesforce in Gmail (includes creating as well)
- Track opens/clicks on emails
- Set follow up tasks
- Create and share calendar links
- Set automated flows to clients and prospects
- Insert template messages into Gmail
Pros
- Email tracking from Gmail to Salesforce
- Calendar/Scheduling, especially the "insert times" feature where. you can send several times and a client clicks on one.
- Creating follow-up tasks in Salesforce
- Setting up flows of email/linkedin/call messaging
- Tracking clicks and opens easily within Gmail
- Creating/Viewing/Updating account, lead, contact info from Salesforce without having to leave Gmail.
- Inserting email templates into messages
Cons
- I wish the "pick a timezone" piece in scheduler tool was easier to search/scroll...or I could set my more regular choices (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific) to populate at the top of the list by default.
- It would be nice if I could schedule send all emails in a Groove flow at the beginning of the flow.
- I would like to have multi-select fields, not radio button so I can select multiple objects in SFDC (opps, contacts, accounts, leads) to log an email to.
- Email tracking
- Scheduling
- Tracking of Opens / Clicks
- Viewing / Updating of SFDC fields without leaving the comfortable primary interface of Gmail.
- Reduced several hours a week of logging time in Salesforce that either wouldn't get done or would have been done to the detriment of more value add activities.
- Saves hours per week by delivering actionable/useful info from Salesforce into Gmail
- Gives me valuable insight on what emails are being opened and read. This helps plan targeting.
- Cirrus Insight and Mixmax
In my opinion, Groove offers the awesome functionality of Cirrus Insight with far less stability issues (crashing, disconnecting, etc.)
That said, it does what Cirrus does and is easy to implement. I feel that it is simpler to implement than Mixmax, but that may be due to my familiarity with Cirrus and the similarities to Groove.
