It is a great tool for end systems management and monitoring. It has generally served well and can assist inmanaginf the devices for multiple clients / sites as needed. Remote control software leave alot to be desired and can be greatlly improved. Great for creating systems policies and providing basic end systems management.
Splashtop is, without a doubt, the most efficient and effective remote software tool on the market. It's suited for any size of business, and I've already recommended it to my dental office, who has purchased 2-3 licenses since they have multiple locations. Splashtop is especially well suited for medium/large businesses that have on-site IT staff that can manage the account and utilize all the Enterprise tools. The amount that Splashtop has helped our IT department is almost insurmountable to describe.
Splashtop connects without any lags on the remote user. end.
Splashtop gives options for signing into the remote device. It can be set up with a password or even without one.
The program sends me alerts for when a device is offline and when it comes back online. It's excellent at monitoring the online status of devices it's installed on.
The administrative part allows you to create users and assign them to devices. Therefore, they only access what they need.
The Splashtop streamer in the Remote Tools breaks frequently
The New UI is feature-rich, but not intuitive to set up. You CAN find a way to show all of the information you need, but you may need to reach out to support to get there
Splashtop had a functionality issue with a Mac OS upgrade recently that prevented remote access for about two weeks. I had to request tickets directly and they had known about the impending issue without a collaborative solution between them and Apple.
Better Beta testing for version upgrades is always needed. Software is constantly changing so these types of platforms need to be at the forefront of resolving interoperability issues with Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.
The tech support for the issue I experience could have been more proactive. I was providing my client's IT provider and Splashtop with updates on the bug issue, where it should have been the other way around.
I believe that I will renew Splashtop without any problems in the coming years as eating stable costs without increases even in critical periods such as the Covid virus, Splashtop allows access to 25 unattended stations and has continuous updates and new features. It also allows resale to users with sub-accounts
It's hard to find any significant faults with Splashtop. It offers a very responsive remote access experience with clear and simple interface. There's very little learning curve as it's toolbar mimics other popular remote access solutions graphical user interface. It's gives you access to your remote computer quickly and stays out of your way
I've never had any issues with it, nor any connectivity issues. They always say when they'll be maintaining the system and it's always in the odd hours, so nobody uses then. But I've never had any issues.
I rate this a nine, surely, because I have never had to contact Splash to support anything; everything I’ve needed to do has functioned correctly the first time. That is much more important to me than whether I get a response from support.
It couldn't have been any easier to setup and I have had no issues with it since it was implemented. It's a great product and makes remotely connecting to another device so simple and quick. I can't recommend it enough
Both Datto and SolarWinds leave a lot to be desired but from a technological aspect, but SolarWinds products are substantially better. At least when they aren't being hacked. SolarWinds was an intuitive design with some decent features that made management much more seamless and, well profitable. Datto products are nearly impossible to implement out of the box and even after months of customization, their RMM products were terrible.
Splashtop Business Enterprise is actually easier to implement and get it up and running, all users have to do is download the standard or personalize file and run it, then share the code with you and you are all set to go, i like it because you can even do it from your phone if necessary
It's a product that allows us to work remotely and access our servers from anywhere in the world. Our team works from different parts of the world and it's a great tool for us.
Allows my boss to facilitate workshops on Google Meet for her one client. She has two use 2 monitors for this and struggles setting up the slides and participants because she is older. So, it allows her to participate in these virtual workshops and make it easier for her to participate in.
Our team all work remotely, so I can access my boss's laptop to find files she may have on her computer and forgot to store on our shared database. Saving time and frustration for all.
I can access my boss's laptop to work on her computer (i.e. organize or delete files) and she doesn't even have to be there. She just leaves her computer on/open, and I can access whenever I choose without having to schedule with her or have her sitting there. She can do other activities, and we don't have to abide by each other's time constraints/schedules.
