Of all the options we tried, Dropbox was at the top in terms of performance, reliability, and features.

Nextcloud is a self-hosted solution, and is the system preferred by our IT department — mainly because it is free or has no annual subscription cost. However, it's UI is …

I love how I can run NC from my own devices, but it is finicky and clunky. DB is worth the money for reliability and ease of use.

I actually selected Google Drive for our primary cloud storage solution as it provides better collaboration tools. A couple of usage scenarios where one person was working on writing a book and wanted to ensure that those helping with the review were working from the latest …

Chose Nextcloud
Dropbox was no longer an option due to their hosting policy. We needed an EU-based solution, preferably open source and self-hosted. There were also security leaks with Dropbox in the past. OneDrive is dreadfully slow, Nextcloud is as fast as you want it to be. On a dedicated …
Chose Nextcloud
Nextcloud was the only solution that would authenticate with Microsoft 365 while also running on all of their machines, handle absurdly high file number counts, and the occasional large file. We couldn't find other platforms that would do that at all, or that would say they …

Main feature is the possibility to self host your files and have control over your data (especially if it is sensitive and you want to host the data in house). Others provide good services too, but thinking about GDPR this is the easiest route you can take. Since we use it for …

On-premise solution good for control and cost (in our case).

Dropbox
Dropbox is well suited for sending File Requests to clients to upload documents, and for me to send File Transfers to clients with documents for them to download. I can create separate files for each client, and also create files within files, which is very convenient and useful for my business purposes. In Dropbox I can also see all of the File Requests that I have sent and it shows me how many times they've accessed it and how many files they uploaded. I can also see all of the File Transfers that I have made and whether how many times the client has accessed it and how many documents were downloaded. It also sends me notifications if the clients haven't downloaded their files yet so I can remind them. Dropbox Sign has been very easy to use, and I have already stated what could be changed with it

For a SOHO business, this solution is ideal. You don't need to administrative overhead of other products like GSuite, and it saves licensing costs. The maintenance effort is minimal as long as you use their default applications. Migrations to newer versions can be done with a few commands and run automatically. If you're planning on using Nextcloud in large deployments with many users, you'll start to see higher costs on your resources and maintenance. There will be a point at which Gsuite becomes easier to manage.

Oracle HCM is very much helpful and well suited in the recruitment and placement process and HR data. It makes it easier for HR in [organizations] to keep track of who is in and out of the [organization]. Improvement can be made by allowing employees to record their own data and update it as and when necessary without having to go through HR first.

Pros
Dropbox
  • I can share projects I need feedback on.
  • I can make projects available to editors so that they can do their work.
  • Dropbox is a place where I can store files that I can access from anywhere, even if I don't have my laptop with me at the time.
  • I have an old friend who is an acting professor in Tokyo. He loves the dialogue that I write in my novels. He converts chapters into scenework for his acting students. They get very excited when there's new material!

  • Government entities share data readily on applicants and HCM doesn't make it easy to have applications transferred between organizations. If applicants could apply once and send that application to multiple entities that would really make it more appealing to clients. This is a niche that is currently filled with NEOGOV, however Oracle's analytics are far superior to those in NEOGOV
  • There are no customizations allowed so clients need to work within the configuration standards or create a bolt on. Many times your greatest asset is also one of your biggest weaknesses.
  • Oracle is a large company and sometimes it can be hard to navigate the support matrix that they have set up. They also have tiers of support so you can pay more to get more, which isn't optimal from a customer point of view.

It works extremely well, and we have never had any issues with connecting or sharing files. It's very easy to use, and any team member can share, add, and delete files to a virtual drive. After the initial training's, it was quite intuitive to use the application. The application is based upon best practices and the overall flows are quite logical. The train stop approach also ensures that users understand where they are in the process cycle. Also, the number of clicks have been greatly rationalized to ensure that there is more streamlined experience.

There is a lot of potential on Fusion. We have reaped about 10% of potential benefits. Especially on Workforce Intelligence, the opportunities are huge. The reason why we do not use the solution at its full potential is not in the product (which is simple and transparent). A roadmap is under construction to bring more of its potential to the end user.

  • We were not good at tracking any numbers around recruiting so now this last year we have been able to set the benchmark that we now can work toward improving.
  • At any given time, we could not say how many open positions we had. Now we are able to keep track of that.
  • We do a much better job with communicating with candidates now, especially the ones not selected. This will help us maintain a better reputation and attract the candidates back for other jobs they may be a better fit for in the future.
