Olark vs. Wufoo

Olark chat is easy to set up and use. You can have more than one user logged in to monitor the chat on different computers. This makes a fast response time more likely. Although you have to be sure to keep your volume up on the computer so you hear the sound letting you know there's a chat waiting. I like that you can see the customers path through the website and you can put clickable links while you are in a chat to guide the customer to a product or a help page. Plus you can see if they actually went there. This makes it easier to upsell

Wufoo is well suited when someone needs to gather data from visitors. It's not so well suited when you need to have people send files over 25MB in size. That's the limit and it's pretty low. We use it for resumes and MS Word files, so the size is okay for us, but might not be the case for other needs.

• Olark is user friendly for both sides of the CHAT conversation. If you are initiating the chat, or the one receiving the chat, it is extremely easy to follow and use. There are many different levels of computer use comprehension and Olark is for every level.
• Olark has reporting features to allow you to check the quality of your employees chat abilities as well as their productivity. It provides feedback for the employee themselves to also see how they are doing and take any suggestions the customer may leave for them regarding their chat experience.
• Olark is very affordable and offers you the option, at a low cost, to look bigger and more professional that you even are. We were a smaller company and has the chat option with Olark and now have grown tremendously and STILL have the Olark chat option. Olark allowed us to grow and provide professionalism to our customers .
• The Olark program allows you to set up quick responses to keep your customer from waiting, and to allow your employees to not have to retype the same response over and over. It is a great program that the employees really enjoy as well. It reminds you if you forgot to log out when you left your desk and provides your customer a quick note giving them the option to send the chat as an email inquiry instead, so you don't miss a thing.

• Flexible, multiple entry forms: Wufoo allows users to create forms with multiple options or formats (radio, single choice, checkbox, text, paragraph text)
• Conditional forms: Need to ask a question that only applies to a specific group? Then Wufoo is for you - it allows you to create conditional logic that allows you to reserve specific paths for specific entrants.
• Integrations: Wufoo integrates with EVERYTHING via Zapier. You can sync it to Google sheets, email ESPs / CRMs, payment gateways... All kinds of applications for this software with its flexible uses & integrations, including embeddable HTML or direct integration to your website.

• Not really an area of improvement for Olark specifically, but I will offer that it is incredibly important to keep in mind your company's "shopping hours" or peak traffic times (there is a Reports feature on the software that allows you to analyze peak traffic times).
• Transcript history can be a little tricky - if you're searching for a specific past conversation, sometimes you may get multiple search results and have to sift through them until you find exactly what you're looking for.
• I'd also offer that you will occasionally come across folks that are on your site to cyberbully or say nonsensical things. While there isn't an absolute fullproof way to deal with this, Olark does offer a nice "block" feature to disregard any unwanted conversations.

• I think the monthly submissions should increase. As of now, you get 100 submissions per month. That's not a whole lot.
• I would like it if the Submissions that are emailed out would come in HTML format instead of text format. Sometimes it can be a little confusing.

To be honest, renewal decisions are not currently within my power. Hypothetically speaking, I'm very comfortable with the platform, have used it daily for nearly a year, and would see no reason to switch to anything else. The small criticisms I had are not significant enough to deter me from using Olark. It's a user friendly, effective tool for our department.

I only give it this mid-range rating because, since the 2014 Super Bowl is history, our company will be closing in a couple months. I hope in my next employment opportunity that I will be able to use Wufoo again. I will probably use it to a limited extent in my personal life to communicate with friends and contacts in a unique manner. I am also working on a Certificate in Web Development and I definitely use Wufoo as embedded forms in websites I build.

It is simply easy and customizable to be exactly what you need it to be

Wufoo's usability from the user to the client is simple. The forms are simple to construct and they are easy for our clients to fill out. I have yet to really hit something that is difficult to do and even when I do get a little stumped their excellent support team helps me through it.

From all the time I've been using it (around 10 years) I've never seen an outage or application error.

Every time I try to use a different Form Builder - I constantly go back to Wufoo, especially compared to WordPress Plugin Form Builders. The biggest reason is the reliability of the form notifications getting sent and delivered are better than form builder that rely on the Wordpress Mail Send Feature. The only feature that I have found over the last 3 years that Wufoo is missing is the ability to customize the layout of the notification emails. But that is minor in the grand scope of its reliability.

Our organization does not have any complaints about Olark's Support. Anytime we reached out to them for assistance, we received a prompt, helpful reply! As mentioned previously, we used Olark fairly basically so we didn't have too much need to work with their support team other than a few general questions here and there. They were always pleasant to work with.

I will be completely honest - I have never needed to contact any specific support for Wufoo. This is because we've never had any problems with Wufoo that I'm aware of! It has proved to be a reliable and easy to use product, and therefore, we have not needed to reach out for any kind of support or assistance. I suppose this would speak to the exceptional quality of the product!

Good imbedded videos that visually demonstrate how to create an element within the form.

Implementing Wufoo was a seamless process. It was an instantaneous transition from the old pdf forms and webforms we were using to the easier to understand Wufoo forms. Employees learned it with ease and the clients response was instantaneously positive. Adding Wufoo to your workflow is not only easy it is necessary.

Olark has an easier implementation process and has better functionality such as the ability to send commands through the platform to either create a ticket in your CRM or push an opportunity to salesforce; you're even able to 'push' the end user to a web page. Implementing their SDK is a snap as well.

In terms of building reports, Wufoo is very similar to Google Forms. Both have the capability to edit live forms and immediately share them. Wufoo offers a few more features than Google Forms does as well. Overall, our department has looked at both options and continues to use Wufoo because of the data management and ease of building forms.

• Olark allows my customer support team to respond to inquiries much faster than before.
• We have seen an uptick in sales as we are able to address more questions from website visitors.

• Wufoo has had a positive impact on our marketing department by allowing us to create and deploy forms on our websites and landing pages with significantly increased efficiency and speed.
• Wufoo has also had a huge impact in reducing our reliance on IT support to build and deploy forms to our websites.
• Wufoo has also empowered our marketing team to be able to try and solve our business problems through tons of integrations between Wufoo and other 3rd party systems (such as Salesforce and Zapier).
