Considered Both Products
Adobe Analytics
Chose Adobe Analytics
Both products are similar, however, Adobe analytics is more robust than Quantum Metric.

On the other hand QM has a cheaper license at the company level.
Chose Adobe Analytics
It is much quicker to get to a basic level of understanding with Analytics, however Analytics knowledge provides a good start for understanding how to build segments in AEP.
Chose Adobe Analytics
Adobe Analytics is very similar to Google Analytics; however, I can see how it can be difficult to set up for some companies. Yet, I think Adobe Analytics is better--no data silos, segment-based metrics that work for different types of dimensions, product-specific attribution, …
Quantum Metric
Chose Quantum Metric
We use multiple analytics tools for various parts of the business. Quantum Metric's replay function is superior to any other tool we've used. The ability to see data and make custom dashboards is in many ways more intuitive than Adobe Analytics and other tools, although we …
Chose Quantum Metric
its well suited for the environments for the workloads of huge transactions, huge I/O,avoiding delays for the workloads which need immediate attention with great workflows. For the great transformations and data mining it would be helpful, for great customer behaviorial, it would …
Chose Quantum Metric
Quantum Metric is a huge leap up from Mouseflow, which is very basic. Quantum offers more filters so I'm not sifting through thousands of recordings to find one or two. My organization uses Adobe for our everyday analytics and not Quantum. They do different things and I don't …
Chose Quantum Metric
Quantum's support is unmatched, and implementing new tracking is a breeze. Quantum makes it easy to dive beneath the numbers and see the customer sessions behind them. It enables more empathy and behavioral understanding.
Quantum's visualizations aren't as easy to use, and the …
Chose Quantum Metric
I have used other tools like Dynatrace. Quantum Metric is better suited to look for errors and spot issues in user sessions, it has a more friendly UI.
Chose Quantum Metric
In other tools we cannot see the user journey, in other tools we need to write multiple queries but here the choice of filter is very easy. We can easily filter out the required data without any complicated query. It shows the customer journey like a video and we can play it …
Chose Quantum Metric
I haven't used any other products similar to QM.
Chose Quantum Metric
The biggest QM advantage is that you can see customer's actions on the live preview and almost immediately. So you can catch customers up, on the session, while the customer is still using your portal. There is a lot of information provided on the session, like API calls and …
Chose Quantum Metric
I like it more because it is much more quick for searches and replays, also making dashboards is much more easy with QM.
Chose Quantum Metric
We selected Quantum Metric for its great user experience, fast replay and easy reporting.
Chose Quantum Metric
IBM Tealeaf features and capabilities were falling behind in the industry. ClickTale was very similar to IBM Tealeaf. We also reviewed Full Story, Crazy Egg, Glass Door, and others.
Quantum Metric was clearly a leading-edge solution as we no longer had to worry about …

About two years ago, we transitioned our property from a three-star hotel to a four-star resort after a multi-million-dollar renovation. In the conversion, we wanted to start reaching out to a younger, affluent demographic that had the means to spend for vacation in a resort area. First and foremost, we want to see if vacations are being booked by desktop computers, laptops or mobile phones. With Adobe Analytics, we can see how a Guest books a room. What do they view? What rooms types do they like? Are they comparing rooms and if they give up searching, where are they else looking and are they coming back. It is a feature where how can we complete the sale? The new process we are also trying to keep Guests on the site is ending our relationship with OpenTable and doing all our resort restaurant reservations in-house. If the Guests were exclusively using OpenTable, we could not track where else on our resort site they are going? Finally, what marketing promotional rates are getting the most drive from

Quantum Metric
Quantum Metric is a true professional, and I love the level of insight and industry knowledge they bring to the table. We use it at the departmental level, including marketing, customer service, and IT. Session replay allows our data consumers to derive insights faster and easier than digging through data. It lets us see or understand how users feel and work to enhance those feelings. The quality of support and the time to respond are also noteworthy. They have great coverage, but the learning curve is very steep and requires a lot of technical support and hand-holding.

Pros
Adobe
  • This product, Adobe Analytics, does a great job of helping us. I think it, it, it does an excellent job of outlining every step of the user journey, as well as giving a good, strong framework to work with as it relates to attribution, attribution of marketing data, and marketing channels, and how, where our users are coming from, how effective those marketing activities are.

  • Identifying user pain points and frustrations. Quantum Metrics has a data point called Rage Click which shows when a customer has clicked multiple times back to back on a particular section of the website.
  • Replaying a session to see everything that is loading on the front end to the customer, as well as the backed end of the website, has been critical in troubleshooting the experience.
  • Heatmaps are a awesome tool we have found very useful in showing engagement with different content on the page, how far user scroll & drop off and to see a split side by side view of the same page in an a/b test.

Cons
Adobe
  • The tool is heavily a drag and drop kind of dashboard. You're building dashboards on the fly. So oftentimes, I learn my process and how to do things I'm comfortable with, that I can repeat, and get those answers on a consistent basis. But oftentimes, I may not find it easy to take it to the next level. So, areas that can improve are recommending or suggesting. Here's what you might try to improve in this report that you're looking at. Try adding in this metric, or try splicing it this way. Oftentimes, I feel like it requires me to go off and learn these techniques on the side, versus having them right there within the tool. Those recommendations, those helpful tips, and tricks.

  • Quantum could share some use cases implemented by similar industries in accordance with the key problems as inputs.
  • We should be able to see some of the most common solutions that could be integrated within our product based on the step of the user journey I am at.
  • Expanding capabilities to integrate with high-level tools integrated.

We need it to discover threats long before they become a loophole in the security ecosystem. Also, it is very much compliant with customer standards and expectations. It provides marketing intelligence through in-depth analysis. Overall, a very good product to gain customer attention and thereby improve market

Quantum is a nice tool and is user friendly however I believe there always room for improvement. We have experienced minor issues with a few sessions which were solved by Quantum support reps in a timely manner and some of the dashboards are not as robust as other tools we use

Usability
Adobe
It is necessary to have a minimum knowledge on tracking tools so you can use the tool on full performance. It is not an introduction tool, so please bear that in mind. Once you got the knowledge you just need a small training on how to create your custom reports, where to find the components you need and how to add them to your dashboard. Then you share your report or create a rule for periodic sharing and it's done. Finally, if you have a lot of data stored the tool might be a little slower but that's ok.

For a new user, it's pretty intuitive to onboard and start doing the basic functionalities. But QM has a lot of functionalities which can be leveraged by more team members (especially when you don't have analysts dedicatedly using this) if further enhancements to usability are made.

Reliability and Availability
Adobe
I do not ever recall a time when Adobe Analytics was unavailable to me to use in the 8 or so years I have been an end user of the product. My most-used day-to-day analytics tool Parse.ly however, generally has a multiple hours planned offline maintenance every two to four weeks, and sometimes has issues collecting realtime analytics that last anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour, and happen anywhere between 1 to 5 times a month.

Again, no issues here. Performance within the day updates hourly. other reports are updated overnight and available to access by the next morning. Pages load quickly, the site navigates easily and the UX is quite straightforward to get command over. On this front, I give Adobe kudos for building a great experience to work within

Support Rating
Adobe
Support for Adobe Analytics is ok, it used to be worse years ago. Now, the technology team at Adobe is way more knowledgeable on the product itself as well as the implementation. They also study your custom implementation and have good knowledge of where your company stands. Dedicated support is something worth considering.

I've been very impressed with the support Quantum Metric has provided. Our amazing Customer Success team has provided excellent service and has gone above and beyond in helping us use and understand the tool. We hold weekly calls with multiple teams and QM has been proactive in bringing things to our team's attention and making suggestions. The support has been one of the most important aspects of having QM and has allowed us to make great strides in improving how we use data and user research in our work.

In-Person Training
Adobe
It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

Online Training

The online training for Adobe SiteCatalyst consists of short product videos. These are ok, but only go so far. For a while Adobe charged a fee for this, but recently made these available for free. There are many great blog posts that help users learn how to apply the product as well.

Alternatives Considered

We evaluated and we currently use Mixpanel and we have Google Analytics on a couple of our properties. And honestly, once you get the hang of the Adobe Analytics workspace, the other products really don't stack up against it because the segmentation and the ability to create reports pretty rapidly are invaluable.

We have used - as an organization - multiple products that each fill a roll or task Quantum Metric provides...however I think there are very few tools or SaaS solutions out there that bundle so much into one solution. QM was better than the replay tool another group was utilizing (Mouseflow) because with our contract we could capture and review way more replays as well as have those replays married to actual, quantifiable data. From an analytics point, is so much easier to install event tracking as opposed to our basic Google Analytics implementation. However, I would still use GA as a primary record for measuring overall site performance since QM doesn't have robust product sales tracking. At one point we did review a competitor called Content Square. They seemed very focused on heat mapping.

Adobe Analytics is relatively affordable compared to other tools, given it provides a range of flexible variables to use that I have not found in any other tools so far. It is worth investing in if your company is medium or large-sized and brings a steady flow of revenue. For small companies, it can be overpriced.

Scalability
Adobe
My organization uses Adobe Analytics across a multitude of brand portfolios. Each brand has multiple websites, mobile apps and some even have connected TV apps/channels on Roku and similar devices. Adobe can handle the multitude of properties that have simple, small(ish) websites and the larger brand properties that include web, mobile and connected TVs/OTT devices.
Each of those larger brands has multiple categories and channels to keep track of. We can see the data by channel/device or aggregate all the data together. This gives our executive teams the full picture and the departmental teams the view they need to see their own performance.

Professional Services

The professional services team is one of the best teams for complex adobe analytics implementations, especially for clients having multiple website and mobile applications. Return on Investment
Adobe
  • I'd say business results. We tend to see better media and marketing engagement as a result of using Adobe Analytics, and that's largely because we can measure the effectiveness of campaigns and we can figure out which ones are driving better engagement, whether it's top of funnel or bottom of funnel. That's probably the biggest business result we see. It's obviously we even use it for other non-traditional use cases like AB testing to figure out which experience is a better or not, that type of thing.
