It also works for hybrid IT infrastructure, with a mix of cloud-based and on-premises resources. Runs SQL Server workloads , Exchange, SharePoint and others. Azure Backup is not designed for complex backups.Azure Backup may not be the best choice for high-performance workloads that require near real-time backup and recovery

It is used across all servers at the Enterprise level across [the] department. There is a lot of customization available in terms of the requirement that comes up around the user like Daily Backup for 6 Months or a combination of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly with having high Retention Policy which makes data restoration to a high extent.
  • Custom Backup
  • High SLA
  • Redundancy Options
  • High Retention of Data
  • Quick Snapshot
  • Customization in redundancy
  • Cross Platform Compatibility
  • Full Backup a lot Take Time which needs to be improved
For SAP and Server Backup we wanted extremely reliable options and a faster mechanism with better efficient backup. At that point in time, it was retaliated to prefer Azure Backup. For a server, we wanted a very Quick 1 Hour Backup for Daily [use] since it was very crucial data for those cases we have preferred Azure Backup.

  • Business SLA was deliverables
  • We don't have to worry about Custom Traditional Backup
  • Backup Cost was reasonable
  • Customization of Backup with Redundancy Region
  • Customization to Choose the Policy and Edit Backup Policy
  • Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery, AWS Backup and Veeam Backup & Replication
Cost and SLA were important [in our] decision to prefer Azure Backup over others. The customization of existing policy with an archive of data was not available in competitors so we had preferred Azure Backup.
Yes

In the last 3 years, we started a process to use our servers in the cloud. We migrated several servers and chose to use Azure Backup for our environment. Azure Backup for safe and reliable disaster recovery. He brought us in a simple way and with a friendly interface, a backup solution for our servers and both Hyper-V or VMware environments. It is an environment with easy backup scheduling and cost effective. There was a significant cost reduction with traditional backups.
  • Product functionality and performance from Azure Backup
  • Your backup is not affected in the event of a virus attack in a production environment
  • Simple GUI interface make this service very attractive
  • Integrate azure backup with local Data Protector Manager, It will make a cost-effective
  • The need for high bandwidth
  • The time required to restore files should be a little faster...
  • Technical support is in need of improvement
  • Connection failures with some Firewall models
Azure Backup is suitable for companies of various sizes, with varying amounts of data. The cost of the investment should be thought out carefully so that there are no bad surprises with unnecessary files going to Azure Backup. The interface is friendly and easy to configure and it does not require your company to have a backup expert. It is highly recommended for companies with smaller number of servers and better if the servers are already running in an Azure environment.

  • Cost savings with previous backup tools
  • Working time since integration with cloud servers
  • No need to hire a backup expert
  • Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery
The cost, not only in the short term, but in our long-term calculations.
Even in need of improvements, the pre-sale and post-sale support is very good.
The ease, like many Microsoft products about scheduling backups, the friendly interface, the fact that there is no need for an expensive resource dedicated to this backup and some other details, made us choose Azure Backup.

We have used it for over two years in a scenario to perform backups of virtual machines, SQL databases, and data in general. The interface is excellent, clean, friendly, and easy to learn and use. Even local non-IT users can use it without problems. With this tool, backups and restores are easy and simplified.
  • Easily backup and restore virtual machines.
  • Friendly and clean interface and very easy to configure.
  • Integrations with other Microsoft products. Customizations.
  • Excellent documentation from Microsoft. The guides help and are easy to follow to set up.
  • Successful solution. No errors or bugs or problems.
What we like most is how easy it is to effectively backup and restore virtual machines. It can be done in the following ways: complete restoration, disk, and volume mounting on the local computer. It is a well-established solution in the market and a secure cloud with high availability and security.
