What is Donesafe?

Donesafe is a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management platform to solve safety and compliance requirements. The HSEQ software connects a management system from workers in the field to the management team in the boardroom. Donesafe is an online platform designed to work on any device, including an offline native iOS and Android app.

Online HSEQ solutions can deliver benefits and offer a world of promise, but most solutions fail early on, especially for companies that don’t have dedicated project teams to implement and manage the solution. On top of that, many systems are too rigid in their processes and this means their users and workers struggle to adopt new technology. See more around forms, workflows, reports and automation. The vendor states this is where Donesafe fits where others fail. They present it as simple enough for a non-technical person to use and robust enough to provide enterprise-quality results with minimal set-up effort.

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Donesafe has been instrumental in incident and hazard reporting, allowing users to track trends and address issues that would have otherwise been localized problems. By serving as the main online reporting system, it has particularly excelled in remote reporting for isolated areas where accessibility may be a challenge. Additionally, this platform has proven valuable in managing processes across various departments, such as health and safety, risk management, assurance, legal, food safety, insurance, claims, and injury management. Its ability to facilitate transparency and communication between departments has strengthened collaboration and consultation within organizations. With Donesafe, incident investigation, follow-up, and actions are efficiently managed, ensuring a proactive approach to safety. This software has also addressed the issue of under-reporting by streamlining WHS practices and offering a user-friendly interface for reporting hazards and incidents. Moreover, it is versatile enough to adapt to different needs and contexts by converting paper-based safety systems into digital modules. Overall, Donesafe enhances safety practices by automating tasks while providing an overview of organizational issues through its comprehensive reporting and management capabilities.

Users have made several recommendations based on their experiences with DoneSafe. First and foremost, they recommend planning and setting clear goals before starting to use the software. This initial planning helps ensure a smooth setup and configuration process.

In addition, users suggest spending more time on establishing a uniform setup for all business units. By doing so, processes can be streamlined and consistency can be achieved throughout the organization.

Another recommendation is to roll out modules gradually when implementing DoneSafe in your business. This approach allows for easier integration, understanding, and adoption of each module's functionalities.

Overall, users have found DoneSafe to be a highly customizable and user-friendly system that can effectively support various HSE processes. They appreciate its ability to manage workplace hazards, event logs, incident reports, and more. The responsive support provided by the DoneSafe team is also highly praised.

We are using Donesafe as our default quality management platform. The majority of the complaints and incidents flow through Donesafe and are tracked regularly. It also helps us keep a company-wide wiki that acts as a knowledge base for new employees and also helps in getting them started quickly. Before Donesafe all of these were scattered across services and some of them were even paper-based, which made it really hard to keep track of and the additional effort it took to coordinate between them was saved after implementing Donesafe across the company.
  • Reporting incidents
  • Complaints management
  • Wik and training management
  • Native mobile apps
  • Reporting
  • Document management
The ability to have the quality, environment, and incident data all in one place is great. Another major benefit is the flexibility to set up Donesafe according to the needs of the organization along with add-on apps and custom apps. All the quality check and inspections forms can be as detailed or as simple as the requirement asks for. It's easier for employees on the field to fill out the forms which are designed specifically for them.

For all health and safety reporting purposes, [it's like] replacing pen and paper.
  • Simple to use
  • Easy to configure
  • Easy to add modules on as required
  • Customer experience is a major flaw [in my opinion].
  • Improvement is needed in the development phase to deliver a product that meets our requests.
  • The Checklist module requires improvement to make it more user friendly in configuring checklists (iAuditor provides a much better user experience in this space).
When it [Donesafe] operates correctly it is a very useful product allowing us to dramatically simplify the health and safety reporting and management process. Unfortunately, when something goes wrong the issue resolution process is disjointed, extremely slow, and impacts the whole user experience in a negative way.

Donesafe is used extensively to manage processes across our business including health & safety, risk management, assurance, legal, food safety, insurance, claims, and injury management. The solution is easy to use and has improved our performance through a range of efficiencies whilst increasing transparency.
  • Easy to use: The solution is easy for our people which encourages use.
  • Easy to design: We are able to configure our version to align with existing processes. We can do it our way which creates greater ownership of the process.
  • Transparency: Once the information is in the system, it is easy to create insights and learn where our opportunities lay.
  • Compliant: It creates a central repository of evidence to demonstrate compliance whenever required.
  • A supporting app for users that is easy to use and provides a greater connection.
  • Better contractor management to create a stronger user experience for our visitors and contractors.
  • Ability for geofencing.
The solution is a significant improvement on what we have done before. It has allowed us to create a tool that fits the context of our business which is extremely important. Our users love it and we are always looking to enhance the solution.

Donesafe is being used for COVID-19 related management, on-call logs, incidents/hazards, audits, and checklists. It is solving safety issues surrounding COVID-19, especially as we work within the medical field. Also, streamlining our other WHS practices within the organization.
  • I have found Donesafe very easy to use, especially when it comes to COVID-19 practices within the medical field.
  • It has made the process of auditing and logging incidents and hazards very time efficient.
  • The dashboard and email notifications make it simple to keep on top of my task list and corrective actions.
  • I can not think of any improvements Donesafe can make.
Donesafe is very useful for the industry I work in, especially the COVID-19 management app. The ability to use it on both my phone and laptop, also on offline mode when in low reception areas is very helpful.

Optus is using Donsafe as a WHS management and reporting tool. It has addressed our problems of under-reporting, manual and time-consuming tasks and has given us a great overview of everything going on within the organization, allowing us to see what problems need to be addressed.
  • User Friendly - Donesafe is a very straightforward platform to use, it didn't require much training at all, and has a great UI.
  • Time saver - Automations save so much time when using the system, tasks that previously took hours, are now taking minutes. Moreover, reporting has increased due to the ease of logging information.
  • Reporting - Donesafe has consolidated all of our WHS data in one place so it gives us a great overview of what's going on within our organisation.
  • Nothing as of yet.
I have found Donesafe is a great tool when it comes to WHS matters. Specifically within our organization the incidents module. It allows incidents to easily be reported on, then all the necessary parties are notified and corrective action is provided all through automation, making the whole process quick and seamless.

Our primary purpose for Donesafe is to report and manage incidents and hazards and their associated actions. Other uses currently include; creating, communicating, and managing the completion of Safety Communications such as Safety Alerts; creating Safety Squad Agendas and minutes (i.e. auto-populates templates with data sources); recording safety conversations; and completing checklists and audits.
As a Franchised business, we have total coverage across 1000+ restaurants nationally and accessed by all 100,000+ personnel.

Given the size of our business, the data now allows us to track trends and address issues that would otherwise have been addressed as local issues. It has also given us the ability for corporate support functions to monitor serious issues and support franchisees and restaurants. It also allows us to monitor the completion of corrective actions, all of which weren't possible in a simple practical way before Donesafe.
  • Simple to use. McDonald's is very focused on simplification, so its platforms must be as intuitive as possible as training across such an operation is a logistical challenge especially when combined with a very high labour turnover and high youth employment
  • Customisable. McDonald's has a very complex business model, due to it being 250+ companies, not just one. As such, there is a need for extensive customisation to ensure no group is disadvantaged and no information is lost or compromised.
  • Support. The Donesafe team is quick to respond to bugs and queries. They have a very 'Yes, can do attitude' with very competent and capable staff.
  • Access to our customised platform made available through the Donesafe app.
  • Whilst colour is used in some areas, it is not available to enhance all modules.
  • Ability for standard reports to be built to incorporate fields from different modules.
Donesafe is suited to any business due to its customisability and flexibility. There are no situations we have found as yet where it is not suited.

We're using Donesafe to convert our paper-based safety system to digital by creating new modules.
  • User interface is relatively straightforward
  • It's quick and easy to make your own basic modules
  • Some ambiguous rules when creating complex modules
  • Training modules could be more detailed
  • Reporting could be much better
Only because I know the system, and it can work when done correctly

We use the Donesafe System as our main online reporting system for hazard/incident reporting across the business. It addresses our issues when reporting a hazard/incident remotely as we have a Field Site Team working in isolated areas. This also helps us to create ease in reporting by providing an online reporting system that creates transparency and initiate communication and consultation between departments.
  • Reporting remotely without filling up a form. This helps in ease of sending out information in a timely manner without filling up a form and sending emails.
  • Transparency- Any hazard/incident reported are registered in the dashboard where stakeholders are able to access the information.
  • Designed for the Field Site Team.
  • Timely response from the contractor's support team.
  • Provision of more in depth training to the Admins.
  • Provision of more in depth training for the Admins to troubleshoot from the back end.
  • Constant follow up and checks done by the contractor after the launch would've been helpful.
I believe Donesafe is one of the best systems developed to ease hazard/incident reporting across a business. It showed transparency and initiates communication to hazard/incident reporters and to the receiver and also across departments. Donesafe if used for its purpose helps also in saving time regarding reporting hazards/incidents across the workplace.

Incident reporting for all incidents including incident investigation, follow up and actions management.
Chemical substance register for all sites.
Contractor management including contractor verification, online induction, supervision and management.
Hazard reporting system for identified hazards including action management.
Audit system for quality and safety auditing with action management.
  • Easily configurable in the back end.
  • Adaptable for various business processes.
  • Good user interface at front end.
  • Customisation to be 'on brand.'
  • Reporting of particular configured fields.
  • Difficulty in setting up notifications as they need to be done singularly rather then in a batch.
  • Improved data library or document management.
Contractor Management is easy to configure and manage notifications and correspondence with the uploading and storing of validated documents, then the ability to check contractor identities and completed induction records. The ability to upload and set reminders and periods for review such as expiry dates for licenses and accreditation. The only lacking in the system was the ability to print access cards direct for the system.
