The marketing team and I use Quantcast Measure to help us know who our core audience is and how we can use that when working with advertisers and potential advertisers regularly. It's a very useful tool for viewing analytics as well. You can also use it to keep an eye on your competitors and similar sites to gauge how your business is stacking up against others like you.
  • Figuring out what gender and ages visit your site mostly.
  • Figure out the shopping habits of your viewers (Good for selling to advertisers).
  • Even more details
  • Some of the generalizations of data feel vague.
If you can control how data can be used for marketing and knowing who to cater to your content, too, this is super useful. If there's not much, you can do WITH the data you're provided, and it'd be of no use. It's a must if you need to dig deeper into your audience, though.
I haven't really worked with their support.

We used Quantcast as a basic website analytics tool. Using Quantcast, we were able to identify key website metrics that helped inform content decisions, search engine optimization strategies, and more. We were also able to track where geographic traffic was coming from to our website and identify demographics of website visitors.
  • Analyze volume of traffic
  • Show geographic distribution of traffic
  • Demographic information of website visitors
  • Better reporting for stakeholders and key business executives
  • Drill down into data a bit more
  • Keyword research
If you are looking for a basic website analytics tool that provides some good, high level information about who is visiting your site and where traffic is coming from, Quantcast is a good tool. It's a bit less intimidating than a tool like Google Analytics as there are no custom dashboards.
