Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We us ADP Workforce Now as our core HCM system, using Payroll, Tax, Performance, Scheduling/Performance System, Benefits, and Essential Time.
Prior to ADP Workforce Now, most these things were being done manually.

Pros

  • Payroll Processing
  • Reporting
  • Pay Policy functionality

Cons

  • Workforce Planning
  • Cumbersome Workflow set up
  • Communication, explanation, etc. with Tax Notices
  • Benefits - went from hundreds of paper enrollments to 100% electronic, saving hundreds of hour for management and administrators.
  • Pay policies have made a near impossible job to an easy-peasy one!
The only thing keeping this from a 10 is some of the timekeeping limitations in states that are 'different.' (CA, OR)
Things could definitely be simplier! We usually have to go through Project Services and are unable to create APIs, etc. on our own.
ADP Workforce Now is hands-down much more user-friendly with more functionality than Paylocity. Reporting is also much easier and better on ADP Workforce Now. Integrations, much more fluid on ADP Workforce Now.

Our customer support manager is great, as is the support manager for T&A. Not being able to talk directly to areas, such as Tax, is problematic at times. We occasionally feel like we're going back in forth through our account manager, being less efficient. However, I do want to be clear to anyone reading my review: I have heard and dealt with many customer service teams with various providers in my career. None are going to make you 100% satisfied. Overall, ADP Workforce Now has a good structure and provides the service expected.
Workforce Now is great for smaller less complex companies. It's user-friendly but basic (which is why it's so user-friendly). When you add a large number of states and pay policies, for instance, things might start becoming more difficult to manage. The communication you need, just isn't there. The employees at ADP Workforce Now are there to perform functional duties, not necessarily having advanced knowledge. The ones that are at a tier 2 or 3 level, you can't talk to. It can be frustrating if you've gone from a very small company to a large one in the time we've been with ADP Workforce Now. But, I still love ADP Workforce Now and believe it's a great fit for a lot of companies.
