Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp mostly for project management. I love how customizable it is, and how you can save templates to reuse again, which saves time while also ensuring that it's the same each time. ClickUp is very powerful and versatile and it did take a long time to configure it to work best with our specific needs, but the payoff has been worth it.
  • Organization
  • Dashboards
  • Multiple ways to view data
  • condensed onboarding
  • overviews of the options
  • more varied use-cases
  • Saved us lots of time
  • made our workflow more standardized
  • more productivity
Everything for the project is all in one place, and everyone has access to it. We can all see each other's progress, who is assigned to different tasks, due dates, etc. Task management and team management has become much easier.
We used to use about 3-4 different apps and methods, where now we only need to use ClickUp. Just the fact that all our project details can be in one spot is huge, since less experienced users don't have to remember where to look for each thing.
All of the ones we evaluated had some features we needed, but only ClickUp had all the features that we were looking for. monday.com and Asana were close, but the extra features that ClickUp had, as well as all the training webinars, were what ultimately influenced us to go with ClickUp.

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

It works best for projects that have lots of steps and/or interconnected parts. The ability to have items in multiple lists is very helpful. Another useful feature is the automations that you can set up to enhance your workflow. It is not what you want to use for anything like a "simple" to do list or similar.

Evaluating ClickUp and Competitors

Yes - We used Basecamp at first, but it did not meet hardly any of our needs beyond very basic collaborative project management.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
We needed something that provided a lot of options that we could customize to fit our needs. Honestly, it was quite overwhelming at first, but once we got used to everything that was available, we were able to create what we needed for each area of our production and project management.
I wouldn't change anything about our evaluation and selection process. We tried out several other options, but it quickly became apparent that ClickUp was the only one that had all the things we needed.

Using ClickUp

It takes a lot of onboarding, training, and tinkering around to use ClickUp to it's full (or even half-full) potential. But once you do, it can do amazing things. There are so many different ways to customize and adapt it to suit your needs. I especially like how different spaces, folders, lists, etc. can have different settings that you can fully customize.
ProsCons
Like to use

Lots to learn
  • changing task statuses
  • adding tasks to multiple lists
  • customizing to suit your needs
  • too much at first
  • wish there was a "quick start wizard" that helped you get some basics set up when first starting out
  • finding/managing all my tags is difficult
Yes - It works very well, although I feel like there is usually a bit too much going on for my phone screen to have sufficient space. However, I do use the iPad version and that works very well. I prefer the desktop version, however.
