Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

I have used ClickUp in multiple companies, as well as for personal use for years.
  • First use case was as an Account Manager. the ability to make custom list templates that I could apply to every new account automatically was a game changer. I had repetitive and ClickUp made it very easy to stay organized, and efficient. Being able to customize dashboards to see status of all my accounts was amazing, as well as setting up custom deadlines based on when the last task was completed. ClickUp helped me stay in contact with my customers, it was great as a CRM.
  • Second use case was as a Bookkeeper. I used templates a lot here in the same way I had as an account manager. I was also able to integrate Zapier to automate creating invoices based on ClickUp tasks to my bookkeeping software (Wave). Creating invoices went from an hours long activity, to a few clicks and an hour at most of QA.
  • personally, I use ClickUp to track job interviews, home searches, and personal events. It's a lot more efficient than a spreadsheet.
  • Currently, as an Executive Assistant, I help others implement ClickUp as well as keep spaces organized. I use it as well, to track reoccurring tasks (agendas for 1:1s, All-Hands, etc.)
  • Automation
  • Time saving
  • Dashboards/reporting
  • Integrations
  • More templates! The more ideas on how to use ClickUp, the better.
  • More integrations/automations outside ClickUp - using Zapier is a quick-fix but long term would be great to stay within the ClickUp ecosystem
  • Delegate mode! As an Executive Assistant, I would love to be able to access a delegate version for my execs (create their dashboards, complete or flag tasks, etc.)
  • I'm not sure I save a day a week yet, but it is a LOT of time savings when you start to use automations, templates, etc.
  • I work in an exec group where everyone needs to see something different, creating manual graphs/reports was time consuming. ClickUp, you enter the data once and you can create dozens of custom views as well as personal dashboards.
My current use of ClickUp provides teams a lot more visibility and transparency which has fostered more communication. It has also saved time on useless communication around making new reports, views, etc. since ClickUp can do that for you.
Yes, I would say we have in all of my use cases. In my current use case, we have not had to venture outside of the ClickUp ecosystem and integrations for project management. In the past, more complex automations had to tie in Zapier but the integration there is seamless as well.
I think ClickUp has the best pricing structure of the competitors I have used in the past. I did not think most of the competitors had as many features or customization possibilities, or automation capabilities. Project Management definitely should not have to live in Sheets/Excel!

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

I have been able to implement ClickUp in so many use cases - Account Manager, Bookkeeper, Executive Assistant, personal use. I have tried to onboard a few companies (construction/custom home building project management) that went with competitors due to cost and integrations but genuinely cannot think of a scenario/use case where ClickUp could not be utilized.
