My preferred Project Management platform for small businesses and upstarts!

Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

I use ClickUp both as a personal management tool, in past job positions, and often include it as an option to implement when Project Management consulting with small business and upstarts. It is quite often chosen as the right tool and then I implement the initial set up and training with the client. Each client case is unique and can span from setting up a management system for a company of 1 to a company of 20+.
  • All in one place conglomeration of all aspects of a projects needs
  • team collaboration capabilities (task related chats, overall project related tasks, document sharing, real time updating, etc..)
  • tracking (projects, tasks, hours, documents, everything)
  • One thing that I love about ClickUp is that they are always working on bettering their platform. Anything that you think is missing or could be updated to perform better can be submitted. All submissions can be seen publicly and ClickUp actively updates initiatives that are in the works, in progress, or completed so everyone can know where a status stands if it is something they want as well.
  • cost for larger user groups, its not bad but could be better
  • dashboard development could use some work for better display of overall multi-project statuses

Increased collaboration and communication between team members and different departments. Quicker returns on project completions. Better planning and future goal building. Project breakdowns simplified and task tracking optimized. Redundancy of document loss when associated documents are linked via tasks. Time tracking has provided data for better project timeline planning as tasks are easier to predict completion deadlines.
The integrations between other platforms and systems is integral in ClickUps use-fullness. Being able to integrate emails, documents, financing, hours tracking via the apps already likely in place within an organization make it even more intuitive. Many integrations are also eventually built in directly to the platform which removes the needs for multiple apps to be used in some cases.
For smaller organizations it's my #1!
For larger and more complex user needs I generally lean towards Salesforce.
But overall and even for personal use I recommend ClickUp. The fact they are always trying to improve their platform and offerings gives them leg up in my books. I usually find their customer service and technical assistance to be spot on and relatively speedy. There are of ocurse always things to improve, but as I said, constant progress is something I value.

I find ClickUp is best as a project management platform for smaller companies/organizations. Not that it can't be utilized for larger companies, just that it takes a bit more to make the functionality work. It can be great for top level overviews, team management, and project management with task management and tracking.
I find that for businesses that use the same or similar project templates regularly have more success as the template builder can be a bit hard to navigate. When every project is a completely different set up it it takes more time to set up as the existing templates often don't meet the needs of the client. Of course this can be mitigated by having a good implementation and onboarding team, as well as administrators who monitor and update the platform on the business end.
