Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use ConnectWise Control to remotely support end users in multiple locations. Our company is rather diverse and we have staff in many different office. ConnectWise Control allows our IT department of two resources to be in multiple places at once. We also use it to remotely access unattended servers when other methods fail.
- High-performance remote desktop access.
- Ability to adjust the settings based on the connection speed.
- Small payload for the end user to download.
- File transfers can be a little slow versus downloading from cloud sources.
- As easy as they've made it for users to connect to a session, some users still miss the downloaded file they are supposed to run.
- I have experienced some random connectivity issues with access sessions recently.
- ConnectWise Control makes it much faster for us to assist remote users, whether they are only a couple of floors or 1000s of kms away.
- The monthly cost is easily recouped when you compare it to travel time to remote sites.
I tested multiple products, but ConnectWise gave me the best feature set for the most reasonable price. Security concerns were also a factor. I had experienced some compromised PCs using other remote access products.
