Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Insightly is currently being used across our organization to record opportunities, related contacts (CRM), resulting projects, and the tasks to completion. The use of Insightly allows us to see the conversion rate of opportunities to projects, to assign work, and view the progress of tasks on projects to completion. Additionally, Insightly allows us to build, record, and analyze our workflows.

Pros and Cons

Insightly is easy to use. Most functionality is logical, intuitive. It jut works.
When you do need assistance, the documentation, tutorials, and Help files are well thought out, and easy to follow.
Insightly provides wonderful feature sets at every level.

So far, I honestly have not found any functionality lacking in Insightly.

Desired Outcomes using Insightly

Improved efficiency

I am still building out workflow processes in Insightly. However, those that I have built have increased our efficiency by:

Clearly documenting process steps
Allowing us to review & tweak our processes while building them out in Insightly
Providing a better view of project & task status

Alternatives Considered

Zoho CRM, Asana, Microsoft Project and Wrike

Of all the products I tried, Insightly was the most intuitive to configure & use. It felt like a very clean & efficient application to use.

Likelihood to Recommend

For a small business that needs CRM, project management, or process management, on a tight budget, Insightly fits the bill. The initial functionality of the free version provides all the basics, including some very rudimentary reporting.
