Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

We initially were getting numerous calls related to users clicking on almost everything that "seemed" legit. We got approval to run a test among our entire user base and found out for the safety of the company's data, KnowBe4 would be a great tool to invest in. The training and monthly tests have made our users more aware of the dangers to the company that being click happy can do.

  • Phish Alert Tool is valuable to end-users with emails they don't know.
  • Follow trends in phishing emails faster.
  • Less steps in adding users and users to groups in the management portal.
  • Less malware needing to be removed thus freeing up IT time for other projects/problems
  • Less of a risk of getting Ransomware
Although we trialed Sophos' Phish Threat product when it was introduced, we found that KnowBe4 was better suited for us. The training is simple and easy to understand. The phish alert tool is invaluable to our users and makes them feel like they are contributing to the cause of keeping our network safe.

Depending on the user's level of susceptibility, we do refresher training annually or bi-annually. The newer content with new information on the latest trends is very refreshing. Being able to target specific departments with specific training has helped incredibly.
Training is sent out via email, and we will only need to follow up if we have seen they didn't complete training. Testing has allowed us to be more personable with users who click and show them what to look for, beyond training. It can almost be a hands-off tool since it can be automated, and we look at the dashboard for information.
For us, it is the frequency of certain users who are more prone to clicking. Having this ability allows us to cater training to them and, if continued, can be brought up to management if nothing changes.
I feel KnowBe4, although suited for almost any size company is best for medium to large businesses with a lot of users, especially with remote locations. Smaller companies with very few end users can utilize the product, but I feel at the price point it may be overkill unless a trend within shows otherwise.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features

We currently do not use these features. We use the import users function which can be slightly time consuming but is still an easy way to get users into the platform.
We don't use the AI feature. We personally choose what phishing categories to use for our users. The trainings we send out is mainly the Kevin Mitnick ones. These are straight forward and easy for our users to understand.
I mainly gave it a 9 due to our subscription level. We do not use the higher levels which unlocks more features and trainings.
We do not use PhishER nor PhishFlip.

KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training Support

We have only had to contact support a couple of times, but that was during the initial setup. There are very few issues with the product, and I feel support will rarely need to be contacted, especially with the phish alert tool just being an add-on and not an install anymore.
