Overall Satisfaction with Litmus from Validity

I use Litmus to preview HTML emails to test their viability on different email platforms. As HTML renders differently in different browsers, or device types or even OS versions, previewing them all permutations is required.

Pros

  • Litmus demonstrates the look and feel of email designs across a variety of different email providers.
  • Litmus supplies accessibility checks that give you a place to start making emails more accessible.
  • Litmus provides helpful advice on best practices for things you may not think of such as preview and subject line text to present emails in their best way once delivered.

Cons

  • I would like to see feature that allows you to enter dummy data for variables.
  • I find that in some. previews the url of a link as. well as the "button" is shown which deforms the bounding box.
  • A method to run accessibility checks on local files by wa of upload, possibly.
  • I just design the emails and am not privy to performance data or metrics.
I always have to test the emails by running them through our platform.
It has been useful to test the emails to ensure that functionality and usability are similar across a variety of platforms.
I am not currently using this feature.
I normally use Adobe Dreamweaver to build and copy the code into Litmus for testing. I have not used any other product with such functionality.

Do you think Litmus from Validity delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Litmus from Validity's feature set?

Yes

Did Litmus from Validity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Litmus from Validity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Litmus from Validity again?

Yes

I was designing an email with variables injected by our platform and it was well suited for most preview purposes but I had to make another with data in place of variables to see how it looked.

Using Litmus from Validity

2 - I'm not sure about the number of users across the organization, just the users in my department. It is mainly used to build and test templates for email delivery of surveys.
I really can't say. I would guess that someone in the IT department performs administrative duties, but I don't. know for sure.

If my company deems it to still be of use, they will renew it. I do not personally have control of these things.

  • Previews are usually fairly quick to load.
  • real-time preview of changes
  • keeping frequent browser types handy
  • previews occasionally fail to load correctly
It's been relatively easy to use for the functions I need it for. I can't speak to the quality of the builder, for example, as I don't use it.

Litmus from Validity Reliability

I have only used it for my own projects.
I haven't encountered such issues.
Pages load fairly quickly, depending on their complexity. I have not used it to run reports, and I don't believe that Litmus from Validity integrates with any other software or systems.
