Overall Satisfaction with Litmus from Validity
I use Litmus to preview HTML emails to test their viability on different email platforms. As HTML renders differently in different browsers, or device types or even OS versions, previewing them all permutations is required.
Pros
- Litmus demonstrates the look and feel of email designs across a variety of different email providers.
- Litmus supplies accessibility checks that give you a place to start making emails more accessible.
- Litmus provides helpful advice on best practices for things you may not think of such as preview and subject line text to present emails in their best way once delivered.
Cons
- I would like to see feature that allows you to enter dummy data for variables.
- I find that in some. previews the url of a link as. well as the "button" is shown which deforms the bounding box.
- A method to run accessibility checks on local files by wa of upload, possibly.
- I just design the emails and am not privy to performance data or metrics.
I always have to test the emails by running them through our platform.
It has been useful to test the emails to ensure that functionality and usability are similar across a variety of platforms.
I am not currently using this feature.
I normally use Adobe Dreamweaver to build and copy the code into Litmus for testing. I have not used any other product with such functionality.

I really can't say. I would guess that someone in the IT department performs administrative duties, but I don't. know for sure.
