Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We/I use it for brainstorming, project management and developing organizational structures/ideas

Pros

  • User interface is extremely easy to use
  • Flowcharting
  • Collaboration

Cons

  • Help/Support/FAQ
  • in-use ideas...provide ways to use the platform as I am using it (prbly needs an AI component)
  • impressed team members and others in organization
  • whiteboard/collab feature was way less expensive than other we looked at
Impl was easy we did it from ground 0, did not try to bring anything in from existing mind mmap solutions.
we have not used the int/g feature yet
yes, several where we needed a solution for a geographically challenged org
I feel concur is a little more mature and serves a different purpose

Using Miro

  • Brainstorming
  • Creating Policies and Standards
  • Project Management
  • Compliance Mapping
  • compliance mapping
  • reporting
  • mapping of our control set to regulations
  • mapping of our policies nd standards to regs
Imagine if sticky notes and whiteboards had a futuristic baby—one that’s super collaborative and intuitive. That's Miro for you! I’d give it a 10 for its endless canvas, real-time collaboration, and tons of templates. It’s like having a whole brainstorming room in your pocket.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
integration w/ GRC solution
maybe look at some additoinal solutions, now that I know the functionality of this tool, what could i scope out better in my eval process

Miro Implementation

Yes - Typical phased implementation approach, planning scoping, design, testing, implementation, post test process, documentation, training.
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
  • some of the design requirements were technically challenging
  • buy in for some users
  • documentation
20 - mostly IT, engineers, architects, managers
2 - they were part of the implementatioin team and documented the solution, they have a very good understanding of the solution.

Miro Training

Product is self explaining, once you go through the menu items, look at some of the help tex and if you go online there are videos you can use to learn about features and functionality.

Configuring Miro

The product as configurable as you need it to be. It can be used to solve large enterprise type problems or small one off problems.
no not at this time
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
we did not do or need any customizitions for our business case

Miro Support

I did not make use of the support function that much for this product. Maybe 1x or 2xs when I did it was productive.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Problems get solved
No escalation required
None
no, i did not feel it was necessary
My team is collaborating on a large project in Miro, and one of the members experiences an issue where they cannot access a shared board due to an error message stating "Board not found" despite being granted access. The team member contacts Miro support for assistance.
Miro’s technical support team responded promptly, acknowledging the urgency of the issue, thanking the user for reaching out, and expressing their commitment to resolving the matter quickly....and they did

Using Miro

Miro’s overall usability is strong for both casual users and professional teams, especially when it comes to collaboration and ease of use for basic tasks. However, for advanced use cases or very large boards, it can get a bit more complex and may require additional learning or patience. Performance issues with large boards and some mobile limitations hold it back from achieving a perfect score. Still, its ease of use, flexibility, and robust features make it a top choice for many teams and organizations.

Miro Reliability

I feel that this tool can help solve or be used to solve large complex enterprise wide problems as well as one off process problems.
I have not experienced this using this tool
I have never had any problems w/ the performance of this application. We've integrated w/ seveal other tools and it seems to function effectviely and does what we need it to do

Integrating Miro

  • Jira
  • Service Now
  • Slack
We are in the beta testing of these integrations, so far it seems to be extremely helpful for our development staff
  • File import/export
  • Single Signon
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
  • Javascript widgets
These re the ones we are currently using, that is not to say we would not use others in the near future.
Test, test, test...make sure that you are using up to date versions of the software and apis

Relationship with Miro

We did not require working w/ the vendor that much for this implementation. we relyed on internal intelligence and resources and the information provided by the vendor.
We did not have to work w the vendor much after the sale except a few questions to suppor here and there which all went well
we negotiated a discount and went w a subscription based agreement
Ask a lot of questions and make sure the SLAs are in line w/ your policies, ask for a disount, you will get one!

Upgrading Miro

  • we did not upgrade
  • easier integration w/ other applications
  • AI features
Yes - free to paid...in beta testing now, so far so good
