Unlock the full potential of collaboration with Miro.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We're using Miro to support different processes in our Digital Product & Technology department: - on the Product Management side, we use Miro to go through the Discovery and Research phases, address business problems and start crafting the solution, map pain points, wrap insights from customer interviews - we are using Miro to create Service Blueprint, to map a process as-is and potentially to-be, this allows having a complete overview of a specific flow - we run Team Retrospectives in Miro using its full potential as a collaboration tool - we use it to craft OKRs on a semester basis, this is extremely helpful when we have to map dependencies across multiple teams - time to time we use Miro board to keep track of actions points and topics to discuss in 1:1 meetings - we make heavy use of Miro during workshop attended remotely, this facilitates a lot the work.
Pros
- Sticky notes use.
- Templates library.
- Ease of use.
- Fast response.
Cons
- Connection with external tools, such as Jira, Office 365, or Google Suite.
- Access sharing to boards.
- Comments do not seem so visible, and they are a bit confusing.
- It reduced the OKR crafting time from 6 to 4 weeks.
- Speed up the discovery phase in general.
- Facilitating the retrospectives brought higher motivation in the teams, especially when they worked fully remotely.
Voting, table artifacts are the ones most used in our context. But in general what Miro provides is useful from any point of view, from basic post-it to frames and slides creation capabilities, all of those are meaningful from different needs. Ease of using and following people feature are very useful too.
Yes, at the moment we're still using Jira for tracking tasks and user stories, but for any other action we're using Miro, dismissing use of other tools such as Mural. Normally we're used to link out Miro board from Jira tasks and Confluence page to use the boards as single sources of truth.
Miro has dramatically helped keep connections between team members while working 100% remotely. Furthermore, it facilitates many processes that require high engagement from teammates. Being a company with a large remote workforce implies that almost 100% of tools must be usable remotely, and Miro is one of the most usable ones, considering what it provides in terms of flexibility and speed.
